Talk about coincidence. I just ordered a jar of black Gesso for one technique that I wanted to try. Note to self: always read the description before ordering. Laurel…. I once heard somewhere that you could put gesso on canvas and then use alcohol inks over it. Do you know if this is true? Thanks for yet another great video. Love the ideas!
I had no idea that there was Black gesso. Interesting. May need to get some.
There is gray gesso too. Blick has it.
I love the black backgrounds. I've never used Gesso. Is it flexible once it's dry? I'm specifically wondering if the first black, heavily textured card would crack since it's so thick. Tyfs!

Cleaning the stencil adds some interesting effects on the black gesso. If I don't have black gesso, could I add a black gelato to the gesso, and apply it for the same effect?
