Extremely Thanks for the video. It is one of my better topic in Excel and your explanation made it best. I really like your video. I have never thinked of it earlier whether it is possible in Excel. Again, Many many thanks to you. 👍 :-)
Fascinating Kevin! I did not know this was possible. And even if I did know how to do it, it would be tough to make it, but you explained it in a very simple way👍. The idea behind this is very interesting and can be used for Geography Projects. Thanks For The Tutorial😀 And again your thumbnail was ASTOUNDING and stood out from others in my feed... that globe behind you really enhanced the look of it and made it more catchy🔥. Keep it up🙏 You are almost at the BIG GUY (1 Million)!
I know your joking, right? Wait no! This is sick. I want that cookie btw. This is just a google map but totally in the next level! This was a dynamic tutorial, loved this! The video, the idea, the thumbnail, the headshot, the storytelling everything is the next level!!
Damn this a lot of good info, never noticed there was a 3D map option (even though it's right there...). I love the drop down box idea to filter what continent shows up on the map. But since I'm not a fan of helper columns, I'll throw a couple suggestions out for anyone trying to copy this: 1) Instead of making the "Regions" column, you can paste a UNIQUE formula directly into the data validation setup, then the drop down list will only show the unique values from the actual data table Column A 2) Instead of adding the TRUE/FALSE column, when adding that FILTER table that pulls the relevant country and sales based on what's selected in the drop down box, make the criteria range (I think it's the 2nd portion of the FILTER formula, might be called "include") A:A= [the cell that had the drop down box]
For the list of regions( at 5:03), I would have used "unique" and "sort" to make it dynamic. Not so much new regions will be created thought… Very clever way to use filter, thanks for this interesting video Kevin!
Hi Kevin, am a high school English teacher and I would really to learn how to create an animated test in video format using PowerPoint. For example, where for each question, the student is presented with two or more choices to pick one and then next question shows up. Could you kindly upload that sort of video next? Thanks a bunch!
Thank You very much for this Great Video. How to publish it online? In Google Slides for example You can publish presentation. Is there is such a feature in Office 365 to publish interactive map?
"we at kevin cookie company dont use power bi. we are lords of excel" hahaha damn this is so good it's my goto channel while doing dishes. cleaning and learning at the same time hahaha
Thank you so much dear Kevin, this is quite closed to what I was looking for, except that I have geo coordinates and I want to plot location, but like you showed, I want to keep it dynamic and keep it in as a section in my dashboard (and not in a separate window the way 3d map does). Can you please help me achieve it. Thanks a ton.
Hi Kevin Not sure if you will read this but thought I might try. I am trying to figure out how to get access to power map but you need a work account, which I do not have. I am trying to find or see if there are any work arounds for that kind of issue. Would be nice if there was a way to get around it. Not sure if there is or if someone has created an answer to that. It is the same for all MS power apps. I am retired and like to learn new things with all the new tools that I did not get a chance to when I was working. My question is would you know a way around this? Might make a good video!
When I try to export a time lapse as a video, it get to 99% then stops. No error messages, it just say "Creating your video. this could take a few minutes..." . Anyone know what's happening or how to fix it? Is it just too much data?
Can i make a map graph from the blueprints of the place i work. For example, i work at a factory that has several rooms. The ID, Pintura, Soldadura, Desmontagem final, Subconvintos móveis, etc. I want to make a map, but instead of the map of the countries, i want the map from the blueprints.
Hello Kevin, Thanks for such a nice and short video! I just have a quick question. Is it possible to know a density around let say certain miles of your data for e.g. I have a zip code and want to check if how many cookies are sold in a 30 miles radius? Thanks!
Kevin you transported me to a new dimension ! I have a question though: as we are now very accustomed to online spreadsheets, do you know if that kind of Excel data and visuals will be visible on the online Excel vession ?
This is really good Kevin. I have a scenario where I need to read the value of a cell based on color on another cell. without VBA can we do that. I am aware of Get CELL Name Manager function but it is not giving me the expected results. Could you pls help
Kevin, what if I need to create a specific map by region based upon the names of Markets? Example: I have a map of Michigan, and I have the image divided by East Mich, Mid Michigan, West Michigan with my markets Name East, Central and West. I want it to highlight that location when it's selected in my dashboard.
@Kevin Stratvert, Firstly your tutorials are really precise and great! I am from South Africa, and would like to create a map for lets say only one City in South Africa , with all of its Suburbs , however I cannot seem to get the map working, could it be that the mapping is not set up for South African suburbs or am I expecting too much?
Is there any way to create an interactive map from a mailing list with more than 100 unique entries, or possibly create 1 map for each 100 entries and then join after the fact? Thank you.
This a very nice feature but sadly it works mostly with USA regions or to show just countries. If you want to show specific regions, lets say in Greece, it wont work good enough

0:00 - Hi Kevin. 👋
12:53 - 573rd thumbs up from me. 👍 Cheers.
Thanks Kevin. Please make a video about using Excel 2019/2021 with Argcis for Office embedded. TQ👍
Great!
Awesome!
Kevin really?! You're good man. Can you do this for one state and do townships using postcodes?
I have version 16.59 of Excel BUT don't have 3D Maps. Which version has 3D Maps? Thank you for all your amazing videos by the way!!!
It'll need the data analytics add-in active before the 3d maps option works - no biggie but not like you to miss a step 😊👏
Nice video
Excellent! But, what version do i have to have iot activate the map option? I only get the basic pack of charts...
Thank you so much dear Kevin, this is quite closed to what I was looking for, except that I have geo coordinates and I want to plot location, but like you showed, I want to keep it dynamic and keep it in as a section in my dashboard (and not in a separate window the way 3d map does). Could you do a tutorial on heat mapping locations outside of geographical data? Like warehousing storage locations?
Is there a way to use the Slicer to show say, type of cookie sold per state? Can you do a video on that?
Hi Kevin
Not sure if you will read this but thought I might try.

Wow 😲😲😲😲👏👏👏
Hi Kevin can you also put a community where we can ask questions?
You can also use dynamic array UNIQUE/SORT function for select REGION dropdown.
Thanks for sharing! 👍
Is there also the option to drill down to the level op cities within regions and countries?
Wow!!
When I try to export a time lapse as a video, it get to 99% then stops. No error messages, it just say "Creating your video. this could take a few minutes..." . Anyone know what's happening or how to fix it? Is it just too much data?
Is there a way to create my own geographic area to show on map?
Can you use a map of your choosing instead of the one provided?
Hello Mr. Kevin,
Kindly let me know which version of excel can be used?
How I can use my own map in this? For example I have my cadastral village map
Hi kevin does excel support UK regions and post/zip codes?
Can i make a map graph from the blueprints of the place i work. For example, i work at a factory that has several rooms. The ID, Pintura, Soldadura, Desmontagem final, Subconvintos móveis, etc. I want to make a map, but instead of the map of the countries, i want the map from the blueprints.
Thank you for this Kevin! Is there a way where I can make the map present data based on a slicer clicked?
I do not have the map option in Excel. Is there a way to add it?

Hi Kevin - possible to have a review of Kaizala? Cheers :0)

My Excel is the 2016 version, but I don't have the dedicated Map button at 2:40, why?
Is this on all excel versions or which version did the feature come into play.
Thank you for sharing this amazing presentation Kevin, but for the filter function unavailable people, is there any other function instead?
Sir Which video editing tools you are using for this tutorials ??
