- The plaintiff says he and his girlfriend rented an apartment from the defendant’s witness, who is also the defendant’s mother-in-law. He claims the defendant assaulted him, resulting in severe injuries, so he’s suing. The defendant says he punched the plaintiff because he was coming at his wife and mother-in-law. He’s suing for lost wages.

He definitely got hit with a weapon! But the plaintiff hit him where it really hurts, THE POCKET! But I would have went to a civil court to sue for more because it looks like more than $5,000 worth of damage done.
