Nicly made buckets. Seems to work well. What amps did it make? Hint, always put bolts in from the top, not the bottom. That way if a nut comes loose the bolt should hold the work while you find a replacment locknut.
Thanks good point on the bolts. as for the amps it made, I don't know yet. I am going to buy a dc power analyser and test all my recent builds in another video.
The buckets should be bent a bit outwards so that the water really flows out at the lowest point and not get pulled back up while flowing out. If more height difference can be used, it should. Using a 3-phase synchronous brushless AC generator with an mppt charge controller would increase the efficiency alot.
I may try an open bucket design in another build, but I thought I might get some fly wheel effect with this design [the buckets slightly closed]. Thanks for the comment.
That set up with a few modifications as mentioned 3 phase generator larger flywheel could potentially give you around 200 watts, a very good simple setup mind you, something anyone could build to harness free power, do make a follow up .
Nice job, I've fitted a few myself varying form 20MW to 100MW. Much preferred it to the wind turbine work.👍🏴
Surely you mean kW?
Amazing build, congrats!
Thanks
Lovely project. Thankyou for the upload!!!!!
thanks for watching
it could power a small home with a battery bank, good job
great Work ...
thanks

Great video Rob, All The Best .
Thanks Gaz. have a gud un mate

Try open tesla turbine instead of the water wheel. Easy to diy from metal. Its just a large stack of discs rotor. Or from plastic sheet discs too.
the tesla turbine is an interesting idea and something I will have a go at making. thanks
Very interesting, thank you.
thanks for watching
Try using a hoverboard wheel moter as thay make good 3 phase generator you may get beter output but great work
make more like this!
nice ! Put a splash guard up to protect the electric generator.
thanks.
I will fabricate a guard for the next time I set it up
just trying to help@@robertthorn23

So how long would that take to charge say 200 amp hr batteries?
i find electric generation really interesting
it is an interesting topic. thanks for your comment
What watt load did you use ??
Not sure on the wattage of the bulb.
I am in the process of building a test rig to test output of water wheel etc.
