@Aquafeee it doesn't make much difference on carpet, as you wont be able to see it, and it won't affect the adhesion. For vinyl, like on a door panel, yes, you would remove the old glue.

Can this be done with any other glue beside the one that requires a compressor? Like a possible can spray?
@Aquafeee you dont have to spray this glue, you can use a bristle brush (not foam).

How much pressure in the gun? I wish you would have demonstrated how to set up the gun. Thanks for letting us know it is a cheapy HF as that helps.
