My well pump is 400 ft down under a steel well case and cost $25,000. Hey Bob where's your well? Oh it's on the back porch and I didn't even bother to glue the pipes together but it still works....
@@datgamerboy123 City water you have to pay for every gallon or thousand gallons of water. I on the other hand only have to pay for the repairs on my well from time to time which is still cheaper than what other people pay even after fixing my well on Sunday. Cost me 500 dollars including a 2 new tools that cost almost 100 dollars... I can run my well 24/7 for 230.40 dollars per month. I have not mesured my well in a while yet I think I can produce 10 gallons per min if not more. I mesured my neighbors 2 wells last year and they produced 12 and 14 gallons per min. So even at 10gpm I can get 432 thousand gallons per month. Rural water here sells for 1000 gallons per 4 dollars or 1728 dollar per month. That is also guessing my well pumps at 2kwh per hour. Since we are on a well we just use water as much or as less as we want. It is far cheaper than you think. Plus my water is 25 feet and my 3 wells are 50 foot casings.
It was mainly just the location and because it was threaded wanted to remove all likely problems. Of course this is what I discovered the pipe not being glued above ground. But yes I use unions on suction as long as they're accessible.
@@ClearWaterPumpWell makes sense. I’ve got a lake fed irrigation pump and use unions on the suction line for maintenance. Just making sure I wasn’t missing something 😊
Oh no of course I use unions on suctions all the time, it's just in this case it was threaded and in a very unaccessible location under the house. I removed it to prevent any future problems and just to leave all the connections above the deck.

Hahaha ain't that right!
Can't believe they had no issues for 6 months! 🤯
You're telling me that's why it was hard to catch it,
That the pump had lost prime and run hot again.
Had to start looking for a section leak.
@@ClearWaterPumpWell makes me kinda glad to be on city water. No need to worry about any of these systems

Tell the customer I have some blue glue for him.
😂
Union with NTP problem? Why?? I would prefer a slip but didn’t know this was an issue

I don’t get what is the issue with the union? I have unions on the suction line for our irrigation system for over 12 years and no issues.
