- I gave my top 10 worst games in a Q&A last year, but recent games have made it abundantly clear that list was in need of a rework.
So, here is my updated list of the 20 worst games I have ever played!

In the earliest days of Among Us, it was a lot more fun to play. No forced quick chat system, and the games' lack of popularity actually made its few players really fun and smart to play with. I stopped playing not too long after it became popular. It's a shame too, it really was a lot of fun back then

What? Among Us was never good. Out of all the social deduction games people had to choose from, they chose stupid among us and made it popular. It is so boring, they only added roles years later and those aren't even fun roles. Other games had much more roles than just innocent and murderer before it even released, yet you all choose to make among us popular.
I’d like to recount an experience in among us that I am still pissed off about to this day. I went into a public match someone immediately called an emergency meeting and it turns out that EVERYONE EXCEPT ME AND ONE OTHER GUY WERE FRIENDS and during chat they literally admitted to this and they said to vote me out. Afterwards one of them called an emergency meeting again and immediately voted out the one other person who wasn’t in their friend group. Then they all proceeded to literally stand still and let the two people in their friend group who were the imposters kill them. It was at that moment 30 minutes into playing the game that I tapped out and vowed never to play among us ever again.
Yup; that sounds about on par with the typical quality of an Among Us game.

Very similar story I've got for you:
a friend and I were playing Among Us one night, and a group we got into immediately went after me and those people got so mad at me (for no reason) and kept trying to eject me or kill me in game that I just didn't feel like playing anymore.
@@GamingMagic13 Why do people even like Among Us anyways? I guess the 2D spritework, while there are much better-done examples like the Disney Renaissance and Don Bluth films of the 1980s (but AU feels more reminiscent to Titan AE. Not horrible to look at, but still forgettably cheap.), can catch eyes. But outside of that, though, I think this is one of those games that exist for the sake of being popular (and boy is it winning) rather than actually having anything to make it stand out. Like, it could have given us lots to do, for example! But it has no story, no variety of gameplay other than the genre that is “social deduction”, no real music, JUST NOTHING!!!!! Yet for as many haters as this game may have, it also has fans even though it feels like something that should have landed on more lists of worst video games for being barren. Oh yeah, that reminds me! While Superman 64, my personal most hated game (alongside most of the games on the list with the exception of Super Mario 64… except for the 3D All-Stars version because SM3DAS in general is the worst Super Mario game(s) since these New Super Mario Bros. sequels which has fans that would argue with dislikers of these games about which original stuff the games have to offer to treat them more like underrated gems than they actually are.), was put on many lists of worst video games, where was it on your list? Could it at least be a dishonourable mention? Because it really is unfinished and boring to the greatest extents.
@@SolEmeralds18 I had something like that happen to me once. I was in this one lobby with this person who somehow convinced everyone to vote me out immediately after the game started and the reason they gave me afterward was that I was "annoying" (even though I literally did nothing that could've possibly annoyed them) so not only did they do it for no reason, they decided to make up a reason that made absolutely no sense. I've had some genuinely good rounds in that game but, more often than not, I'm stuck with people who either have zero critical thinking skills or are just obsessed with the idea of seeing people get ejected. There were times where I genuinely wished I could HELP the imposters win because my crewmates were just that worthless.

i think the placements are largely based on how much he hates them personally (aswell as how bad they are objectively obviously)
so a game he hates that gets constant praise for being the best thing ever created would rank higher than a game basically everyone knows is bad
@@fortnitesexman He said that the more he hates something people like in comparison, the lower it can go as seen with the movie analog of the video where a lot of the movies people unanimously agreed was awful was higher because of similar reasons while ones he hated specifically that was the inverse was lower since his critisisms were from the minority.

Super Mario 64 is actually one of my favorite games of all time, and I’ve 100% completed the game several times, but I understand your problems with the game. The camera is seriously the biggest problem in the original release. And the n64 controllers don’t help. I like the game due to the level design and that the stars are fun to collect for the most part (and the soundtrack) but I’d get why someone couldn’t get into it.
If I may, I’d recommend the Nintendo DS version (but played on a 3ds, because the controls on the DS are not that good). You might find the controls and camera easier there.

The controls are significantly worse in SM64DS due to the movement being locked in eight directions. Not that any of them are bad games, but I don't think this guy would want to play the DS game if he finds the original N64 game to be difficult to control.
@Russell Hunter The DS game was actually my first exposure to Super Mario 64, and I liked it a lot! Then I played the N64 game, and wow did it feel a hell of a lot smoother with 360° movement

@@PeruvianPotato The game is still hard programmed with 8 directions of control, so that simply doesn't work. The circle pad doesn't automatically give you a full 360° range of control. Although, if there was a version of SM64 released on the 3DS, that would totally work, and it would also be pretty cool!
I still love Super Mario 64 to this day, though the camera definitely has some problems. I love the worlds and the star challenges, so I'd love to see an updated remake someday with modern graphics, better motion, and a better camera.

@aletanook Remember Super Mario All-Stars for the SNES/Wii? That collection had effort put into it by updating not just the art style of the side-scrollers, but the *physics* of them too! But with *3D All-Stars they only update the UI, the controls, and the resolution for Sunshine.
The collection may be $60, but in my opinion that's NOT because they are each worth $20! For me THESE prices are what they're worth:
Super Mario Galaxy = $40
Super Mario Sunshine = $19.50
Super Mario 64 = the remaining 50 cents
One time I was playing Among Us and accurately discovered an Impostor. So guess what? They thought I was also an impostor who threw my allies under the bus! And I wasn’t! JOY
I've always thought Among Us is missing some game clues as to who the impostor is, and by clues I mean unbiased clues given by the game. I see how it can be difficult to implement but else, I agree with you.
How could not 1, not 2, not even 3, but at the very least 4 people come to that assumption? I genuinely want to know how they pieced that together. Was it a poor choice of words on your part or was it completely idiot-icy? I just gotta know how the whole scene played out.
I have to say that thinking Among Us as a game is at fault for the stupidity of the young or stupid player base is just a weak argument. I do agree that the developers should try to implement something to counter-act these issues but that can be very hard to perfectly add. I really feel like you HAVE to play this game with friends with rules set in place in order to have fun and if you're gonna complain about playing on open lobbies with strangers then you can't blame the game, you have to play the players themselves.

Among Us is weird in that public lobbies, which are the easiest and most common way to play the game, are the scourge of the earth and an example of why humanity is fucked, but private lobbies with voice chats with groups of friends can actually be really fun. I personally watch a lot of modded Among Us streams with voice chats and find games enjoyable both to watch and to follow along with in chat, but at the same time that’s entirely because of the group of people being both experienced enough to manage the flaws within the game and enjoyable enough to watch on their own.
Basically, imo Among Us is a victim of circumstance where there’s only one really good way to play it and a bunch of absolutely fucking awful ways, and the awful ways are the easiest ways which cut down on the game’s popularity and reputation massively. So while I don’t disagree with any of your reasoning for putting it here, nonetheless I don’t mind it nearly as much.
EDIT: Also Spike Chunsoft just needs to stick to Mystery Dungeon, they do that really well at least
Tad late but I wanna say that I agree with you that playing with voice chat with people you know is the only way to really play this.
The issue being that not only is this a game of logic... but a game of deception. Which is nearly impossible to tell with strangers.
Is he an imposter that threw his ally under the bus? You can't tell.
Is what he says true or a lie? And it isn't like you can deduce that by it being wrong or correct.
Hell even his example of "being killed right after accusing the player of being an imposter". Since 1 group of impostors might just do that. Another? Won't. Hell this simple base scenario contains so many what ifs that it is hard to tell what actually happened.
And this is not even touching the experiences the players had that make them hesistate to trust you.
Um actually the Danganronpa games are good despite it's multiple issues by story department wise
The reason the SpongeBob Movie Game has no cutscenes is because the game came out before the movie and Viacom didn’t want to lose money from the Movie so they weren’t allowed to use cutscenes in the game.

That take on mario 64....oof. can't say I agree with ya on that one, But I can understand your frustrations. Like for me, the camera is definitely a problem and the game doesn't really get "bad" until the third floor of levels. Still though an "indefensible dumpster fire" seems way too extreme for a game that while it hasn't aged gracefully is still a classic in my opinion. Keep it up with the good content though, found you on your toy story 4 critique and it's really well done!

The problem with trying to review the core gameplay of Among Us is that... well... it's a social deduction game. I know that sounds stupid but at the end of the day there's literally no way to design such a game where the stupidity of most players won't kill the experience (unless you dumb down each player's potential options to the point where they don't have to do any actual thinking, but then it would be boring as hell). Even something like map design becomes crazy subjective because the point is setting up interesting interactions between players and what that looks like isn't collectively agreed upon on in the slightest. For example, some groups especially like the Polus map best instead of Skeld because of its open ended nature. There are certainly aspects of the game that are objectively faulty as you mentioned, but there's a reason you don't see people "review" it the same way you see reviews for other games. It just doesn't work.

One thing I want to mention about the biggest problem in the #1 game on this list
I decided to call this problem "The Sigma Syndrome", where games bring back the same character despite all logic. I call it "Sigma Syndrome" because of Sigma from the Megaman X series, where in every game, save one, technically 2, the big bad is Sigma, and the Fnaf series is no different with William Afton. I get it, "He always comes back", but you can only do that so many times before it's a joke rather than character development. And what's worse is that he's literally only in the "true" ending, meaning you litterlally don't even see him throughout most of the game, meaning you could basically just completely remove him from the game and nothing would change.
The concept of this game was right there. Free-roam with new characters, keep the story revolving around the time limit, a new threat, it could have been great. Instead it was the halo 5 of fnaf. Well, it has a single up on 5 bc the style of everytjing is decent (but yeaj fhe quality is questionable af best, awful at worst graphicswize)
The funny thing is, though I could very well be wrong, the “I always come back” thing has been a running meme in the community for a while now. I think it started with all the “glitchtrap is William afton” theories going around. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong because I’m genuinely not entirely sure about that.
TV tropes call it "Hijacked by Ganon" because a lot of Zelda games have a main villain that inexplicably ties back to Ganon, so Ganon is the actual final villain.

While your criticisms of 64 are valid, and not everyone can get the handle of the controls of 64 since it's such a contrast compared to newer games.
However, your entire argument becomes invalid the MOMENT you chose to insult people that like the game, saying that people that love 64 never played any game that came out after 64 is a terrible and cynical insult that weakens your entire argument and makes you come off as hate for hate's sake.
As someone that has played quite literally every single 3d Mario game released, and multiple amazing games that came after Mario64, calling it a indefensible dumpster fire is doing disservice to the game as a whole.
It's level design up until Rainbow Ride still holds up, why do you think galaxy two used basically the exact same level design of Whomp's Fortress for ThrowBack Galaxy?
While yes, the controls have not aged that well, calling it absolutely atrocious, putting it above SECRET RINGS in terms of worst of all, is absurd, the movement complexity of 64 is way above what you will probably ever give credit for.
The only issue I can agree with you is the camera, as it's by far the most aged part of the product (besides the graphics).
If it was as bad as you say it is, it wouldn't have become the giant it is today, having people dedicated to making mods for it, and even making an online multiplayer version of it with new modes.
Why do you think the game is so alive in the speed run community, why do you think so many people dedicate so much time to making mods, levels, entire worlds, based around 64's movement, while also adding their own flavor to it?
Are they also people that never played any games beyond Mario 64, or are they simply dedicating their time on something they love, and wanting to make their stuff with it? I have a feeling you would say the former.
But hey, given how you have not engaged with anyone arguing against your 64 take, and have even given a heart to those that agree with you, clearly you're not interesting in an actual argument about the game, and only want to further your opinion instead of wanting to engage in a discussion about everything 64 has to offer.

I feel like the latter of those reasons is the reason people make ROM Hacks. You got it right about why there are speedrunners, too! However I kind of feel like they do Rom Hacks of THAT game because it's just the easiest of 3D Mario Games to do that with.
I personally have played ROM Hacks of SM64 that I loved. But in terms of the Vanilla game, I definitely would say it's the weakest of the 3D Mario games. Luckily, some ROM Hacks have gone so far as to IMPROVE the control mechanics! Look to "Peach's Fury" for a prime example.
To my shame the way he's treating Mario 64 is the way I used to treat Loz ocarina of time.
As someone with no nostalgia for the game I regarded it as sluggish boring test of patience that's aged horribly, not getting why anyone could still unironically like it. And the remake couldn't improve something so flawed at its core.
But nostalgia is a powerful thing. When a game resonates with you that much then it's easier to look past it's issues. I do it. Everyone does for at least one thing. I can't find enjoyment in Oot but I don't think I should be faulting people who do.
And who knows. I might give it another try someday.

My one playthrough of Security Breach, during the second security office segment, the ENTIRE FLOOR around the escape vent completely disappeared. Vanny softlocked me inside a photo booth. The map was useless for navigation. And the "True Ending" craps on the face of Pizzeria Simulator.

there are games there that i like or even love but your reasons are so justifyable and well explained and youre just so entertaining that i dont even care. respect and love your video man.
Maaaaaaaaaan you hella bold for putting Super Mario 64 on this list, and in the top 10 no less.
What made SM 64 so great was it was the first 3d game to really get a lot of gameplay things right. You kinda had to be into gaming already and played what came before to understand this, so the new kiddies just don't get it. I personally loved getting the flying powerup and shooting myself far in the air with a cannon to just play around with it. It had little to do with the actual gameplay, but it was incredibly fun, and that was enough to overlook the other flaws of the game, which would become more obvious later, as many other games copied the basic open world 3d ideas and improved them. Everyone has that one game that they are far from the mainstream in their like or hate category. My outlier game would have to be Athena on the NES. Widely regarded online as the #1 worst game of the NES, I actually quite liked it, for the same reason I liked Mario 64, as it was the first game to get a flying power up right in a game, which completely changed the level dynamic when you got it, and was very fun to use. I am CERTAIN that super mario 3 copied the flying powerup from Athena, which is one of the best parts of that game, and a version of which would eventually appear in all future mario games. Athena also had a fairly deep armor and weapon power up system for a game of this era, and also a female protagonist, before that became a thing in every other game. Strangely, it also featured nudity, both in game, and on the box art (!!) The gameplay was incredibly hard, and even though you had a life bar, you could easily be stunlocked and killed if any enemy got close to you, and the ranged powerups were completely useless, so it was always a hand to hand fight. Only in the internet era, with a proper walkthrough was I ever able to beat it, but it was very satisfying to finally complete this game, but it was quite fun to play, especially with the flying power up, and that was enough for me to love it. Also, for the record, the worst game on the NES was Top Gun, both because it was unplayably bad and all but unbeatable, but also because of the potential it wasted, being such a high profile licensed game. Also, it was incredibly unfun to play, which is the one thing I cannot overlook.
@@sprinkle61 I only read like three sentences of your response, but I can tell you right now, Mario 64 is just good. Straight up. I first played it when I was 16. It was the year 2016. I had already been well experienced in games with infinitely better controls, and I still loved 64 (and to exacerbate how good it is, I emulated it on a phone, using a touchscreen gamepad, still loved every second).
I was not able to get into Mario 64 at all. I wouldn’t call it insultingly bad but it feels so empty. I don’t get what people see in this game since the lack of enemies makes this game too easy and the dated controls, graphics, and level design are a huge turn off for me.

It doesn’t need to have bubsy 3d superman 64 ,or any old games like that but omg man. Like im just going to say it. If *Black Opps 3* is in your top 20 worst, you shouldn’t make a video like this. Like its not even the worst cod game by very large margin, Infact it’s considered by many people to be the last good one. Not to mention he has a tech demo (that i got as a damn FREE BONUS! From buying the original Bendy and the Ink Machine) as number 20.
Also i was born in 2004 and even i am Furious at him not only putting mario 64 on the list but at number 10 BELLOW! Sonic and the secret rings, one of the worst sonic games, a franchise that DEFINITELY could have made it on this list more than once if he didn’t have the one per franchise rule (he isn’t scared to criticize franchises he likes afterall.). Like come on. Cause it aged poorly? It didn’t even age that bad. Yeah some stuff if the game was made today would be different but it would buy and large be the exact same game.
Ngl majority of your among us critisisms are problems with the community, not the game design. Im not defending it pub lobbies are absolutely awful, but again, that’s not a reason to call the actual game itself bad, since that hinges entirely on the people who play the game. And the auto chat thing sucks hard I recommend pc for this game so you can type instead. Pc also easily has better task gameplay.
And about the UA-cam private lobbies, you do have to consider they don’t really take the game seriously either. Those are basically the same as a public lobby since they put on a show for viewers.
As someone with hundreds of hours in the game i can testify if you just join a discord server you can have fun private games with people that don’t treat it as a meme.
But yeah the black load sucks.

How are these the worst games of all time? I can understand most hated of all time, but you actually got filtered so hard on some of these, and the majority are just popular multiplayer games. You'd think that because your favorite movies are from the most normiecore studio of all time, you'd also fall into the same way with video games

Personally, i enjoy the freedom of movement in sm64. Once you get good at basic movement, it feels like it opens up the fun tremendously. It feels like no other mario game is as fast as sm64.
I disagree on the speed department, I think Sunshine can be just as fast and it has fun tech like the spin jump and water sliding. But yeah 64 isn't a bad game, this guy is nuts
@cryguy0000 Super Mario 64 is better for Speedrunning, though. I'm pretty sure you can't skip a single location in Super Mario Sunshine before the final boss, and you have to get these shines in a specific order thanks to them being in episodes.

seriously, Scott nailed with the ending, the epilogue and the VR tribute, everything was perfect, the story was finally done, the spirits were finally set free, Steel Wool could come up with some FNaF spin-off game, but they decided to make Security Breach, just like this game pretends that Pizzeria Simulator's ending and UCN doesn't exist, I do the same for SB, is literally a spit to my face, specially as a fan that grow up with the series

I actually 100% completed this game when i was a kid, and i definitely remember fighting with the controls more often than anything else, (especially if you get the speed upgrades) but i somehow managed to work with all its quirks and jank playing all the way through. The worst video game I've ever played in terms of game mechanics was some Disney Princess game for the Wii. I, at the time a small child fitting the demographic for the game, was unable to complete the tutorial level because the motions your supposed to do with the Wiimote wouldn't register with the game. And it wasn't the remote's fault; that thing was able to accurately track my movements in other games, but for some reason this one just wouldn't work. This was, as you'd expect, a major problem since the tutorial relied solely on these motions and it seemed the rest of the game would heavily rely on movement as well. I never touched that game again and I don't plan on it.

Star Fox Zero would be one of my all-time most personally disliked games. I was ECSTATIC to finally play a Star Fox 64-inspired game in the franchise returning to its roots while giving you so much more to do compared to what Star Fox 64 offered. I refused to see any kind of story spoilers and actually made it a point to avoid watching anything about it until I finally bought the game. Excited more than anything to start the game, I plugged in my GameCube controller and-to my absolute horror, the game FORCES you to use that godforsaken tablet controller and shoves the gyro-controls down your throat. After discovering that you absolutely couldn’t play with so much as a pro controller, I didn’t play another second of the game, just utterly frustrated that I wasted $60 on an atrocious control-gimmick game that I’m sure would’ve been WONDERFUL if they had stuck with standard analog control without any unnecessary experimental stuff - I felt lied to, lol
If you want to see TGX Game Reviews’ review of every Star Fox game that is not 1 & 2 or 64 or Assault, watch at your own risk, because I find it funny how he accuses great games like Mega Man 9 & 10 alongside every Crash Bandicoot game after Mind Over Mutant (unless he’s actually grateful for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time feeling more like Warped and Crash of the Titans in terms of quality than how he portrayed the N-Sane trilogy as “the ‘meh’ heard around the world) of nostalgia pandering (or as he would like to call it, “The Twinsanity Effect”) while defending SFZ to the point of comparing the haters (of the controls and game in general which is a real meh heard around the world or at least by StarFox followers) to bratty little children. Honestly the whole time I was listening to this video I was half expecting for you to go over the game Yandere Simulator. You wouldn't even need to talk about the drama around its development, there's enough in the game itself for you to have plenty to talk about if you did your top 50 least favorite games or something like that. If you did though, I'd love it if you said the name of the games as they appear onscreen, I can't often look at my phone screen while I'm at work so I have to try and figure out what game you're talking about by context clues, which is sometimes easier than others.

He doesn't seem to have played anything older than the n64, but unfortunately I have played things back to the birth of console gaming, so there is so much more dreck I honestly can't even remember it all. I should have made a list as I was playing the games, but I never even realized that an online community would pop up that would value such ancient history 30 years into the future. The one that most comes to mind is the Top Gun game for the original Nintendo. Yes, it was hard, like all games of this era, but for all the wrong reasons. Braindead enemies flew in front of you in predictable formation for no reason, you had to shoot heat seeking missiles out of the sky with your infinite shot cannon, your own missile choice didn't matter, except that the tiny missiles gave you more missiles, but by far the worst thing about the game was that refueling and landing were insanely hard, even when you knew the parameters to pull them off. Missing a refueling attempt meant that you would for 100 % certainty run out of fuel later and die, and you only got one shot at it. By far the worst element of the game was carrier landing. This was so monumentally hard its hard to imagine the US having any planes left on its carriers, because they all would have died trying to land. Pulling off a landing was like a 100 to 1 lucky shot, and you would likely never again get it in that playthrough. This is one of the few games I never beat, even with a cheating device, because it was just so brokenly hard. It was also not fun to play, it had no redeeming qualities, besides an 8 bit rendition of the movie theme. I received it as a gift, and hated it as long as I possessed it, and felt I paid way too much for it, in that I might have received any other gift and it would have been better, and I have received some truly crappy gifts, but this was the worst one...

I still think it’s a bit unfair, Super Mario 64 was a revolutionary title. Even then, everyone knows the game’s issues, yet people still enjoy it today.

It’s like saying the first Super Mario bros was bad because of its plentiful flaws. Awful graphics, weird physics, bland gameplay, weak boss fights. But people still love the game years later, why? Because of what it did right. Intuitive level design, ingenious mechanics, iconic soundtrack. This is what made SMB iconic and it’s what made SM64 iconic as well.

The campaign was, and still is, universally adored. And the gameplay of the multiplayer absolutely has been universally adored. It's just a pitiful lack of content that 343 is taking an inordinate amount of time to address due to a mountain of technical debt - among other behind the scenes reasons.

Playing Super Mario 64 makes me really frustrated. It's like the game is SO CLOSE to being fun, but the controls make it hard to do what should be simple tasks. ESPECIALLY on inclined hills. Hills feel very inconsistent, and I see to lose control of Mario. If just a few things were changed, I would probably love it.
I'm tellin' you, check out the PC port. Mario 64 is an amazing game when given the chance and having tighter controls really helps. I love Mario 64, but even I get pissed when playing on original hardware. The controls just kinda suck a little.

I'd argue that anticipating enemies is half the fun of Fortnite, and if there were AI enemies that kept spawning in to keep you busy, then it would be very exhausting.
Plus, I'd argue that the community is actually pretty good with the community created games that people can make.
Fortnite is ass since you need to have only 1 skill: building. The AI doesn’t matter when someone comes from another part of the map
Also the community is alright. Yes the fan made stuff is good but they mostly care about jingling keys and not improving the game (unlike some of the streamers)

I am genuinely not a fan of Danganronpa personally so maybe I'm a contrarian here, but IIRC, wasn't the fact that the rules were broken only revealed at the end? As in, Tsumugi was only revealed to be the real culprit in chapter 6? Until that point, the characters thought that the rules were followed and that Kaede genuinely were the culprit. And also (probably) the player?
Except I was able to deduce that twist in chapter 1. As the characters in the game should’ve been able to as well.

You should've put SpongeBob rehydrated in the place of the movie game, the movie game was at least being the movie game, rehydrated was just a cash grab, rehydrated was given a WORSE art style than the original battle for bikini Bottom and people still praise it, look at it then look at the original, the original is directly better in every way than the new one

If you had any honourable mentions, my guess would be every single bad game that 85% of this world knows ever (ex. Buddy 3D, E.T. on the Atari 2600, Superman 64, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on the NES, etc). The reason for them being Honerable Mentions might be because you’ve probably never played them yet.

Damn boy them be fighting words with Mario 64. Maybe try the original DS port? Sure it takes some time to get used to with the d-pad instead of the analog stick but honestly I preferred it cause I don't like the controller for the 64 at all

I'm gonna go over Super Mario 64.
Super Mario 64 has aged well to a degree.
It has a cult following because it's a very important and revolutionary game and is still a pretty great game and fun to play to this day. Yes those people did play 3D Mario games or games in general that released after the Nintendo 64 era.
And Mario 64 still holds up in ways 20 years later like it's core gameplay and charm and it's mission structure.
Super Mario 64 does have stuff to write on other then it's initial groundbreaking success, stuff like again it's core gameplay and charm and it's mission structure. Trying to play this game nowadays isn't only pain, it's mostly joy.
The controls are stiff to a degree but not as stiff and unforgiving as you think. You can make minor movement adjustments actually...or at least on the ground you can, but yeah it does get frustrating at times.
Ok yeah...the camera controls suck, everyone can agree on that and that's by far Super Mario 64's biggest and most common criticism.
The actual mission design isn't garbage.
The competitors aren't all slow actually and waiting for them to finish before you can get the star is a minor nickpit...not a major issue.
The trial and error treasure chest challenges is bad game design though but that's not most of Super Mario 64.
The slide sections handling isn't abysmal.
The game isn't a slog to get through.
Super Mario 64 does have a pretty solid first half too (and second half) and it has ok controls.
Sunshine isn't subpar, it's good but it's the worst of the 3D Mario games. Super Mario 64 isn't at all a indefensible dumpster fire, it's a very good game and it deserves respect.
A lot of the gameplay made it seem like he's just bad at the game. Same goes for Fall Guys.

I gotta say, Ryoma Hoshi is the main reason why I have V3 as my favorite. If he didn’t exist, it would rank last place out of the mainline games. Even if Kokichi is entertaining enough to get me through the game after Ryoma dies, and Shuichi is my favorite protagonist in the series. Aside from them, most of the new characters are ones I feel neutral towards, or utterly despise.
Kaede and Kaito are obnoxious and practically idolized by the cast despite their faults. Tsumugi is a HORRIBLE twist villain, and is basically the DR equivalent of Bellweather from Zootopia. Tenko’s a raging misandrist whose creepy stalking of Himiko is completely excused (while portraying Himiko as being in the wrong for not “giving her a chance”).
And then there’s Gonta. Good GOD, I cannot overstate how much I despise this man. He’s annoying as hell, his flaws and anger issues are ignored and brushed aside in order to continue treating him like the “uwu innocent gentleman” that the game tries desperately to convince you of. His trial is incredibly emotionally manipulative, and robs him of potential character exploration in favor of giving him amnesia in order to make you feel even more sorry for him.
As for the ending? Honestly, the only reason I’m even able to remotely tolerate it is because the majority of Tsumugi’s claims are unverifiable, and she could easily be lying about some, if not most of the twists in the last trial. Especially when the prologue straight-up contradicts her, and the audition tapes (along with Tsumugi’s cospox) could easily be faked due to her ability to friggen shapeshift. That said, the sheer amount of holes you can poke in Tsumugi’s claims, which the game never even acknowledges, just makes it come across as a shoddily-made twist with no regard for the plotholes it creates.
TL;DR Ryoma is the best thing about V3, most of the other characters are annoying as hell (with Gonta being the worst offender), and Tsumugi could be lying about the entire ending twist.
Fall Guys is so much fun with friends. I love playing it with my Girlfriend. I think you're taking it a bit too seriously. Also, I'd hate to defend a shitty Call of Duty game but Bo3 has the best Zombies mode so for that alone I think you should've picked a different CoD.

Yeah the stuff about SM64 controls being stiff is just blatantly false. Switch joycons definitely make it feel that way but the actual N64 controller makes it one of the smoothest games ever made. If it was how you described it the top level speedruns would be impossible. Camera not going through walls and objects sucks a s s tho I'll give you that

1:06:00 I would like to further elaborate on how crazy Turnabout Serenade is with some thoughts that have been on my mind in the last couple of weeks.
The biggest defense some fans use regarding Serenade is that Machi Tobaye being accused of murder is to foreshadow how corrupt the law and the police are now and I have always hated this argument. It's like they are saying "The script is purposely bad, therefore it becomes good".
Specially because the next games handled the subject a lot better. In Dual Destinies during The Monstrous Turnabout, Detective Fulbright acknowledges that Jinxie Tenma, the daughter of the defendant Damian Tenma, does _not_ have an alibi for the murder, however he also states it's impossible for that little girl to maneuver the giant spear that was the murder weapon nor does she have a reason to frame her father. DD is a game all about the Dark Age of The Law but the police is not going to simply accuse a kid. They may be corrupt, but they are not dumb.
And even at times when a kid _was_ accused, The Foreign Turnabout in Spirit of Justice presents solid evidence as to how the 9-years old Ahlbi could may be the murderer, so Phoenix has to steel his resolve to prove Ahlbi not guilty, as opposed to Serenade where anyone could have point it out how accusing a supposedly blind kid of murder using a 45-caliber revolver is beyond insane.
Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice did a really good job at presenting backwards legal systems to the player, so I don't think anyone could excuse Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney and Turnabout Serenade just by saying "Well, it's suppose to be insane". Because even "insanity" can be well written.
These two games are basically babysitting the abysmal first one, trying their hardest to make everything look normal
The Monstrous Turnabout is different.

Here’s the thing though.
In serenade, Machi was the only one who didn’t have an alibi for the presumed time of death. Again, they had to wrap up the case swiftly. Who else were they supposed to arrest?

The writers were the one who insisted in include a plot about a supposedly blind 14-year old boy murdering a man almost 3 times his size with a revolver so powerful that could dislocate his own shoulder.
They are trying to come up with a solution for a problem they came up with. You don't need to have the police arrest Machi in the story if you simply toss away the entire script and start over with hopefully a better put-together mystery.
@@PedroHenrique-mk5zi not to mention there was an insanely easy way to verify if Machi shot the gun or not - have medics check his damn shoulders. He's a frail kid, shooting a gun that size TWICE would cause severe damage to his arms. A simple medical check-up would've revealed everything.
