For all my fellow Light mains, read up! For context, I’ve been using gravity vortex as a main gadget since the start of the season and have done my own testing as well. Gravity vortex is very good but extremely hard to master. In the context of stealing a cash out it can be an excellent way to cancel the steal from afar. However, there are two major factors to consider. 1. The vortex brings any other loose items into the swell, considerably stabilizing the cash out so it’s easier to steal. Therefore, when using it, either clear the room of debris and/or moveables (this does include the cover boxes that are all over fortune stadium). Or you can move the cashout to an open area so debris won’t be a problem. 2. If someone continues line of sight on the cashout, they can steal it no matter how hard the vortex shakes it. So it’s extremely important to have you or your team also shooting at the target stuck in the swell. Some bonus tips for those who made it down here. - place the vortex on the front car of a moving platform, when activated it will stay in place, sucking in everyone on the train giving you ample opportunity to kill - when using gateway to pull a cashbox, have your team follow you through and place a vortex on the ground close to the gateway activate it when the box comes though to make any chasing enemies slow or easy kills - getting chased? Throw it at your feet in or after a doorway to slow your opponent - be aware that done sheilds get pulled into the vortex as well so if you’re playing comp, bring glitch nades Hope this helped someone!! The "Pulling up the riot shield in between the guy and the cashout" trick actually saved me a clutch in quick cash yesterday where I had a guy trashtalking me for picking riot shield the whole match, I was just swinging away beneath a buncha rubble and for a split second this exact frame 0:15 came to mind and it worked! I feel like despite not pulling it up works also, he did that 2nd test whilst the shield was facing marshall anyway, so the width of the shield helps more to break up the line of sight!
didnt know about the riot sheild and holding something in front of the stealer would cancel, but I have something that happened to me a lot and u didn't know about when u are stealing and ur teammate is body blocking, his statue falls between u and the cashout and it will stop the steal because it switch to a revive, which is sooo stupid and need to fix this, it cost me so many ranked games, I truly hate it, it always happens in the freaking last second of the match too, so unlucky!
I feel like a brave knight protecting the princess when ever I use the riot shield to stop cashout. I also laugh maniacally when ever this happens. Riot shield my beloved!
About stopping cashout steals by blocking line of sight - player statues also seem to trigger it. Lost a game, because right when I was about to finish the capture, my heavy working as a meat shield died, launching his figurine right in front of my eyes, breaking the steal
If you throw a grav cube on top of the cashout it wont lift the cashout, but it will lift others. Not sure if it will reach a player if it is sitting upright though

For example when we are the ones stealing, my teammates often group up on the person stealing, and while that would block an enemy, I think we continue stealing as if we’re phasing through our teammates? I believe? But then again I could’ve sworn I’ve accidentally body blocked someone before too 😅
You cannot body block anyone, that's why you need a riot shield to do so. And everything in this video applies to teammates, too (except like winch claw)! There are many ways to screw your team up...
can you lockbolt a player and drag them away the same way you would with the cashout? also, was very curious about something but forgot to ask in the previous post, can you winch debris into the player? this is only really practical because the winch claw has a half cooldown if you winch debris instead of a player or obj. thought it would be worth mentioning.
Lockoblt: if a player is grounded you can't drag them as the lockbolt is pretty weak/loose and players are very heavy. I'm not entirely sure about a stationary player... But check out my lockbolt vs everything video Debris: You can and it falls under the block line of sight category (or push away if it does that)
Mines + Demat? It's really effective if you have a flame barrel on the floor above the cashout and also really fun :3 edit: I guess this would count as "just kill the enemy" though.
[edit] Sending a cashout across the map is unfair and broken and needs to be fixed. But bouncing a cashout up to your level is a fun and engaging mechanic that has counters to it, which shouldn't be fixed 😊
I would actually love to go in a private game with you so you can show me how to counter this trick because that's interesting. I don't see how you can destroy a jump pad you don't know is going to fall in the time it takes for you to notice it fallin and it touching the cashout station (which must be like .4 second)
@Jinko_ second method: you can destroy the jump pad cause you can see that's it bouncing the cashout. First method: you can't destroy the jump pad, so you use anything to drop the cashout back down. Like, Demat, RPG, C4, Explosive Canister, ect. My first comment was worded bad so it looked like I was saying you can destroy the jump pad in time that it bounces the cashout, my bad. I understand that you may not always notice or have the time to notice and counter someone jumping a cash out up to them. But the counter to this method is always available and a lot of times I've been able to drop the cashout back down. It may not always happen but that's the fun in another way to steal the cashout. This method would be unfair if there was no counter to it yet you didn't even consider to mention any of them in your video and act like it needs to be fixed.
