Outstanding cover from Erik 😀 And an amazing job by Jona Tee here on keys. He also plays all the instruments in here, and did the mix, master and production. A dream team Erik and Jona 😀🇸🇪
Love Your reaction! 👌🏻 Erik is PHENOMENAL!!!⭐️❤️⭐️❤️ He really takes his time to get the listener to talk in the story and the warning. Step by step. And then the outburst! Yes, like he is crying. The ending feels like a funeral. Churchlike. Ge sings with clarity. His facial expression is superb as he looks straight to the listener! Erik is singing with his heart and soul as much as his voice! The video is great! Jona’s playing the piano is delicate! ⭐️⭐️🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️❤️
Its interesting. There are many, many versions of this song. I really like that Erik went with a version thats very different from the iconic Animals take. He went high where most artists go low, and he packs so most emotion into it. And longer, which I think in this case lends weight. Great reaction 👍
I love his huming before the second built up. And I love in the built up that he sits down and try to look cole, but we see the sorrow/pain are there as you say.
I know where that building that's featured in the picture is, so I looked it up to refresh my memory of what it looks like now. I haven't really paid attention to it before.. But it looks almost exactly the same! It's just ten minutes by train from the town where I live, so I've gone past it many times without really looking at it. It's very cool to see a guy from my part of the world be so well liked in a whole lot of other countries.
He makes it personal, feels like he is singing about his own experience. Other covers including animals version, well they just "sing" a song. Brilliant work!
Been gone quite awhile but love love Erik. He’s right with Dan and so happy he became active with his releases about the same time Dan went to streaming live with his buddies. Maybe there will be another collab again. Dan assures everyone he will produce new but until then love loven Erik.Being from the 60”s the time of the beginnings, Erik kills this!thx Marie.
Yes abd so does Erik with the covers , especially with House of the Raising.... the feelings cones out in your own skin when he sings!!! I been trying to send his earlier covers to you. YOu are both great artists and l love you both for you own spiritals and gifts!!!
I always find it interesting when people are bothered when other people like something they don't. If you don't like Erik, it's fine, don't listen. Why are you haunted by the fact someone else does? Btw, the reason some of us prefer Erik's cover is because of the emotion he put in this performance
nice reaction maria... this was pretty cool and interesting. if you want to react to another stunning version of "house of the rising sun", i highly recommend the cover by haley reinhart when she was competing on american idol. she was only 20 at the time and still somewhat raw but even then embodied the music so well in her very unique haley way. it captures all the deep soul and spirit of eric burden & the animals while reinterpreting in very different slowed down bluesy jazz way... very similar to what she did with “creep”. it is still considered one of the best performances ever on the show. links below and have a good thanksgiving! 😎 best high quality (1080p): ua-cam.com/video/a6dxNsWMb_E/v-deo.html poor quality but w/ commentary (480p): ua-cam.com/video/ts9oMPpvJew/v-deo.html
The tradition in Sweden when you make a cover is to make it your own. A copy of the original is meaningless. why make a thing that has already been done. You do the song because you have been touched in a way that is unique. Lay claim of ownership, make it your own.

My goosebumps get goosebumps. He capture the mood of the song so well and yet put his own touch on it!
Love Your reaction! 👌🏻

Erik‘s friend Jake filmed this video in a bar in an old trainstation. The bar owned by his other friend Simon.
AMAZING!!🇸🇪
Bra Jobbat Erik !
The Most Powerful Version Ever!!

Great reaction!🤘 This is my favourite Erik cover too😃 Never heard a better version of this song! Nobody can ever top this!!
Thanks for your reaction is very good! Erik and jona did it Amazing!
This is just ✨E P I C✨....
💖😭💖😭💖😭💖
Please react to Erik’s cover of God’s Gonna Cut you Down, it’s also amazing.
The character of this sound at 9:41 when he screams “God” is extremely paralyzing
Sweden rules 🇸🇪 We have both Erik Grönwall and Tommy Johansson, what more can I say 😉😀🥰
❤
And in 7.41 he is in real time and going back. He snorts disdain at himself when he sings The house of rising sun.
The piano play's it like a menuett?
I love Eriks voice. I am one of his biggest fabs and one of the first fans in Sweden!! So l don't understand what you are tslking about!!!😢
A cover of a cover of a cover. I'm haunted by your infatuation with him. Is it really better than the Animals' recording?
Oh yes!! So much better He is telling a sad story of his life!!! With so much emotions!!! Heja Erik!!! Heja Sweden!!!

ABSOLUTELY!!!
1000 times better!!!!!
Yes, he outdid Dolly Parton and Whitney with his cover of I Will Always Love You and this out does that now.
