I've been using tretinoin 0.1% cream (generic prescription) for a few years now and I'm able to use it just fine with acids and 20% dermatica azelaic acid. I've been using tret 3 nights a week, then 1 night glycolic acid (krave beauty) instead, then repeat. My favorites this month have been Prequel Gleanser and Dr. G RED Blemish Clear Soothing Cream along with the matching sunscreen. I'm still trying to use up my Peach Slices Snail Toner, but I went ahead and bought the Haruharu Wonder Sensitive Toner.

I never really paid attention to Dr Jart because of the price, but recently found his Ceramidin and Cica items that have been helpful for my current skin barrier issues. Along with the Skin1004 Centella line, my skin is getting better. I am going to check out the toner and the Purito now.
I reeeaaally enjoy the Dr. Jart Ceramidin moisturizer (works especially well under my eyes where I can get dry and terribly sensitive due to prior vascular damage), but similarly the price makes me reserve it for As-Needed occasions (I usually buy it on sale or with rewards at Sephora). I also like the Cicapair moisturizer pretty okay (doesn’t leave my oily/combo skin shiny). However, I’ve noticed it’s cheaper on YesStyle (which makes sense because it was Korean-owned prior to its purchase by Estée Lauder in 2019).

And what I'm enjoying this month is the cosrx peptide booster (so light and hydrating) and the Kaine Kombu essence (juicy..). And surprisingly I also really like the etude moistfull collagen cream. I find it to be perfect for summer evening. It's not high on lipids and yet very replenishing.

I appreciate your honest opinions and reviews. Personally, I am staying with my Dermatica formula with tretinoin. I have been disappointed with the Peach and Lily products I' ve tried. Never seen the "glass skin" the products tout. I need to try the Elf Whoa Glow with the Naked Sunday blush. I hate wearing foundation on my days off since it has been hot here in Tennessee. 💖
My skin is the same with tretinoin. If I use it at night, that's it and moisturizing creams & hydrating toners (to start) after cleansing. In the morning, I can do copper tripeptide serums as an active, and for me, that means I cannot also do any other active such as my rx Finacea gel (azelaic acid), vitamin C (I can only get away with PTR Brightening C cream anyway) or any AHA/BHA/whatever. I do think that overall, the daily use of tretinoin over the 9 years or so has been really great for my skin. I use the Retin A Micro version, which is much better tolerated; I've never had peeling or redness issues, unless I try to use more than one active per day and per night. And at night, it's always tretinoin. (I know, I often get FOMO but don't succumb to the pressure.)

It's been a few months and I haven't noticed any negative difference, but I definitely can use more actives like AHA that I just couldn't easily do before! I guess the real info will be in a year or so if I feel like I'm not progressing with my well-aging goals or my breakouts get out of control. So far though, good!
Hi Kelly, for the past week in the evenings after double cleansing, I’ve been using the BOJ Ginseng Essence Water, Green Plum Refreshing Toner, Revive Eye Serum and Dynasty Cream. I just wanted to check if this routine is okay to do on a nightly basis, or if I should be alternating products, and/or having an actives test night. So far my skin has been doing really well with this nightly routine, but I don’t want to accidentally over do it ❤
These are all very gentle products that shouldn't irritate your skin no matter when you use them. I'd maybe just move the Green Plum toner to your morning routine. It has exfoliating acids, glycolic and salicylic. I'm sure the percentages are very small, but I still feel like it would be better to use it in the morning before your moisturizer/SPF than in the evening with the nourishing rich products you're already using. (Ph of these products will be slightly different, so they might slightly reduce the efficacy of each other).

Looking beautiful as always, Kelly❤ I recently gave retinal one more try, using Medik8 0.03 retinal in a cycle of 3 days however I noticed hyperpigmentation especially under my eyes, something that I never had before. I use sunscreen every single day so I'm confused- is this normal or is it a way my skin tells me it doesn't like it ? Any thoughts ?
Not sure what you mean about hyperpigmentation, it's possible that older sun damage is emerging. But other than that, it doesn't sound normal for retinal and you might consider seeing a doc to rule out any underlying health issues.
If it looks like sun spots it's likely the retinal is speeding up your skin turn over so the sun damage is emerging faster, it will start to fade once it's closer to the surface. Sounds normal, I just didn't quite understand your original description!

Have u tried the Torriden cearmide line it's a lot like the D.Jart but it doesnt have the frangance and essential oils and it is cheaper.

If your skin feels good than listen to it! No need to change what's not broken!

Did the Naked Sundays SPF 50+ Lip Oil have a taste. Could you taste the spf on your lips at rest or when you ate?
No taste, it does have a faint watermelon scent!
