My only question is Why not adopt Muay Thai or Lethewi as Full Contact systems??
These Martial Arts have proven to be more successful in full-contact sports like MMA in comparison to Karate.
In fact if a Combination of KyoKushin Karate & Lethewi is Developed then a much more Robust Full-Contact will be system then both these existing Martial arts.

If you were borned 1000 yrs back and you've seened Mushti and Malla yuddha you wouldn't have said this . Now most techniques are banned due to they're explosiveness.

@@vaidikpathanugami7971... Cannot live in the past forever.
The world has changed & so must the Indian way of doing things or at least a level of evolution must happen.
MMA is the modery day equivalent to "Mallayudha" & thus the 2- areas where the basic training must start is :-
      (1) Wrestling (Grappling)
      (2) Kickboxing (Striking )
India currently has a rich tradition of Wresting in the form of Phelwani or Khusti.
There is a need to further evolve this by promoting "Combat Wrestling" to further absorb the Techniques & Principles of Judo, Jiu-jitsu & BJJ.
Similarly, There is a need to promote Unarmed combat Styles of "Kalaripyattu & Silambam" as a form of "Kickboxing" with elements from :-
      (1) Muay Thai
      (2) Lethwei
      (3) Sanda
      (4) Kyokushin Karate
There is a need for learn from "Filipino Martial Arts, Kendo & Wushu" to develop a Common Indian Weapon based Martial Art system that will have 3-main event of :-
      (1) Choreography
      (2) Sparring (wooden versions)
      (3) Demonstration
The best is a combo of "Kalaripyattu, Gatka, Silambam & Mardani Khel" systems.
The knowledge of following Weapons must be provided for this system :-
      (1) Staff (Lathi)
      (2) Sticks (short & medium)
      (3) Knives & Daggers
      (4) Cloth (gamucha)
      (5) Spear & Lance
      (6) Swords & Shields
      (7) Rope & Whip
      (8) Sickle
      (9) Otta
      (10) Mace & Clubs
      (11) Trident
      (12) Archery (Olympic & Traditional)

@@sk8899 Malla yuddha was an combat wrestling and Mushti yuddha is an art which you can say to be before Muay Thai , in Mushti headbutt , punches , kicks , elbow strikes , knee strikes and all full body weapon are used , Hanuman ji and bheem ji were famous practitioner of both . Muay Thai too is an oldest of Thailand . muay Thai and leithwei traces its ancestry to Mushti yuddha only . I support hybrid martial system . Good I support your overall idea to hybridise Indian martial arts .

Don't left learn that first muay Thai and kungfu like Wing chun , five animal or Jeet kune do ,later you learn Niyuddha , Mallahyuddha , Mushtiyudhha etc.... Practicing hybrid martial arts will be good .
