I think it does a great job of highlighting just how aggressive the bodywork is to evacuate air pressure from the wheel wells. But from a purely aesthetic standpoint it's not my favorite decision.
The footage of Lance sending off the 23r was adorable 😂. Plus so happy to enjoy the split screen footage of the on stage driving. Heading the co-driver rattle off the directions and the driver making it look easy *chef kiss*
Simply seeing Lance at ths starting line made my heart smile. That's his baby he started from scratch, nice the see that circle completed. :) Also, can I get that .stl file, would love to print a small version of that sexy lil ride.
I pray too see competition I hate too say this but last yr was utter boredom compared too the battles of previous years .ARA has one or two drivers with real God given talent. then we have a whole bunch of rich folks that have the money too do Rally but have very little skill . And then the few that have skills can't afford a pro level car its sad there needs to be something that adds balance .
Bummer.. Because it's all over.. Now, it's time to make that winning streak stick!!! Congrats to Subaru and all the parties/companies involved. Involved in this tedious building process!!
Would've liked to see more information on the other contestants, and the overall times and times for each stage and such. Still, very entertaining I will keep watching anything put out by Subaru rally America.
I have question that I’ve always wanted to ask: when you take a daily sedan into a rally car do you guys like mod the engine or do you rebuild the whole engine?
It's a huge achievement to design a new car and win in the first competitive event ! But I wonder if the other teams can actually compete against a full factory effort.
I’m sure when the VA came out , nobody knew it’s capabilities. Maybe if I buy a 3rd WRX in the future ( eventually STI maybe) , I’ll like this new chassis. I love my VA2 STI 😍 ✌🏼 ( 03 WRX wagon too) (and BRZ )
As a mountain biker I,We will miss him at Rampage this year. I realize though that this world is why he worked so hard on the mountain bike. He needs to race not risk. My prediction is that the Rampage winner will start with the Acid Drop.
An entertaining mini series. Build process is intense. The finished car however bears little resemblance to the original car it started from. Why not have Subaru ship over a body in white? That was all that was essentially used to build this impressive rally car.
@@maxentropy7596 Subaru is still racing but the STI is gone. Subaru didn’t want to put money into a new production STI engine and the old one was very outdated. Subaru is coming out with the WRX TR next year which will have large brakes, sport suspension and a big wing like the STI did. It just won’t have a more powerful engine.
What’s with the anticipation… without the narrative introduction… Gymkahana? Aka hoonigan? But We love more of the characters voices more in dept aka “Keaton Williams” Cheers launch control!
It seems to me that the Subaru team does not have a worthy opponent, they run a very weak rally alone, I would like to see that team in the World Rally and that driver to see how they are doing
I totally get wanting to use the new WRX and develope the platform but to say you did it too stay competitive? Against who ? Barry is running 2wd and there is no one in awd unlimited that can even come close too Brandon's talent. Closest competitors are over 10min behind Brandon is just smoking the competition completely it's boring😴. I think there is plenty of talent out there hmmmkmnn "excuse me"" but they don't have a sponsor too foot the build and maintenance cost too even compete let alone be competition " Today's sponsors don't care about if you can drive they care about how many followers you have . The Pro drivers can't afford a competitive car and the guys that can afford a competitive car aren't pro drivers and they won't give up the drivers seat and hire a pro driver so 🤷 What can be done 🤔We need more competition too keep this sport alive . But my guess is it won't happen . 😢 These fellas that compete because they have the money is great for them but there not pro drivers there boring too watch 90% of the time... there just living there Rally fantasy and will never be competitive because they lack natural talent . What we need is more sponsored pro drivers but ARA only has Subaru there are no Ford sponsored cars no Hyundai sponsored cars no Toyota sponsored cars no Skodas no notta . Who does Subaru have too compete against ? Ken is gone Travis is not driving but when he did he was also with Team Subaru USA . I'm sorry but we need drivers real drivers not just guys that have dollars too build a car but have no natural talent too drive it. FACTS first 3 cars go through then it's utter boredom.
Pretty misleading considering you removed the fa engine and still running the ej. Also the ej isn't even made by subaru either its all crest cnc. Fail.
Unfortunately, I am in Iran and I will never be able to become a rally driver or at least have the opportunity to try to become a rally driver. But I will try my best to watch the rally from close once.💔❤️🩹

Yep ARA is more for amateurs it seems these days.. WRC they said is gonna happen but not until 2027. 😢

Depends on budget. Lots of teams run essentially stock engines but at the higher end of the sport, you will find fully custom race prepped engines.
Curious what the red button on top of the hand brake does. Is it similar to the red button in men in black that makes the car defy gravity?!
