If you look under the metal support for the ssd there should be a m.2 slot. You can also add something there as well. Most of them models support that.
@@DLMtechgarage not a problem. I have a bunch of the small form factor ones like that. And they all have a m.2 slot on them under the 2.5 inch drive cage.
Always make sure to have your computers or any electronics turned off before cleaning near them. I once dropped water on my laptop and shut off the power immediately, then I took it apart as fast as I could and dry it out. It still works fine up to this day.
good for smb sector 6/7th gen to 10th gen - 10th gen gives you double ram capacity but you pay about double - the mt cases are better - just easier to work with and sometimes you get more slots - options are good but may be limited due to hp/dell walled gardens
Great channel. Recently got 3 old Dell SFF PCs from my job. There's a bunch more older PCs in the back room I may take a look at and grab some parts as well. Where did you get the clear case for the little parts like RAM and CPU you were looking through (if you can remember). Thanks in Advance👍
@@DM-sc4ru stand alone emulators are nearly ALWAYS better than cores except for very few limited cases. The newer the console, the more likely you will need a stand alone. Typically retroach cores are best used in bulk on very old consoles that have already been HIGHLY optimized. Using retroach makes set-up of multiple systems easier and is PERFECTLY fine for systems like NES, SNES, Genesis and more.
You could install it on a vesa mount behind the monitor , just have a USB extension lead down towards the desktop. BTW the SoDIMM memory usually has to be the low voltage (1.35 volt) type in this sort of system i.e. DDR3L. I have a couple of the Lenovo ThinkCentre 93s which are quite good but do have a whitelist built into the bios to only accept certain CPU types.
Don't use brake cleaner, use IPA or Electrical parts cleaner or just wash it and dry it very well! Also visually inspect the other ITX board and the PSU. It may have been the PSU that blew up so test that mobo with better PSU!

need to check that out. appreciate the info!!

Good tip!
Brake clean is nasty stuff, highly flammable. At least you got a cheap cool build out of it.
I like retrobat setup. Looks cool with windows installed. Like recalbox is on my old laptop. Can plan some PS2 and some GameCube and Wii but not all.
I absolutely love legend of dragoon for the PS1 is one of my absolute all-time favorite games ever
best game I ever played. hate their is no reboot or anything!!!
I've got a couple minis, a G2 and a G3. Neat little machines.
most def. especially the 6th gen and newer.
Such a lovely little machine))

im using a G4560 and that form factor would be the best thing ever for a low-end pc like mine, its beautiful!
I love this thing! the size is what has me sold on it!!

got it from harbor freight!!
It probably could do PS2 and GameCube at 480p. I would have to test it on my Lenovo mini PC's which are similar.
I have had good luck with Gamecube @720p on Skylake/Kaybelake systems with integrated graphics. Dolphin is Very well optimized.
i need to figure out the whole gamecube thing. lots of games I miss.
Older systems seem to run the actual emulators much better then the Retroarch cores. Dolphin is a great example.

wow did not know they could whitelist a cpu. crazy!!
@@DLMtechgarage Yes itll work with some i7 cpu models but not others, a very strange way of making a product indeed.
Hell Yeah
Oh hey. my car shop uses those for their shop computers.
nice..
Thanks
Hook it up for those long car rides
What about Audio out from Displayport? Did you get it? I have 800 G3 i5-6500T but I can hear audio only from the internal speaker or analog outputs.
not sure.
800 g3 model with the 6500t from ebay, i had an old i7 6700 processor from an old pc. Would that work as an alternative?
yup, the t only mean it was lower power for the smaller pc as the lack of air flow and fan.
You should try Batocera or lakka on it.
what gen is the cpu or what gen cpu would you recommend
i3 7100, I would go 7th gen and go no higher then an i5

yea i did. the board was still good. I learned not to play with brake part cleaner around computers lol...
gotta love that single channel memory lmao
i could put a graphic in the pc?
not in these
Where do you get it
ebay
mount it to the back of the screen
thats probably my next route.
brake cleaner is typically really nasty stuff.
it really is
1:58 Really, Guys? :D
lol!!
