This band’s only “normal” is stellar musicianship and energy. Check out Mindset and I Wish I for very different examples that I consider masterpieces.

One of the best japanese band. You feel sad or in a bad mood? Gacharic Spin will bring joy to you like you'd never imagine. No band, even Babymetal, can rival them live. And it's from a hardcore Lovebites Wolfpack fan.

Gacharic Spin are my favourite band
Fun, talented, creative, superb part writers, genres are just choices to them rather than confines
Here you see Angie on vocals, Hana Sano on guitar/drums/vocals, F Chopper Koga on bass, Oreo on keys/vocals, Tomo-zo on guitar/vocals, Yuri on drums/e-drums
Core of Hana/Koga/Tomo-zo will be there in anything you see from founding in 2009-now, Oreo there from 2012-now, Angie and Yuri from 2019-now
Easier to fill you in on other line-up variations as they come up
Did you notice Hana switch from guitar/vocals to drums/vocals halfway through this performance, while Yuri changed from drums to e-drums?

Yes, this is normal but this song is not normal. Gacharic spin is known for putting a variety of genres into their song writing blender and what comes out is pure Gacharic Spin. They definitely are not following a trend but blazing their own path. Pinked haired Angie, the singer and Yuri, the first drummer on the kit are the recent additions. F Chopper Koga (bass), Hana (singer, original drummer but now guitarist), Oreo (singer and keyboards) and Tomo-zo (guitarist and occasional vocalist) are the original members. All are extremely talented musicians.
My introduction to GS was *Gacharic Spin MindSet (Live at EX THEATER ROPPONGI on June 20th, 2021)* I literally thought "WTF did I just listen to" with a smile on my face. Amazing song.
*Gacharic Spin - I wish I (Official Live Video) in 豊洲PIT (Lyrics in English)* A harder sound but don't let the introduction fool you.
*Live】Gacharic Spin「TAMASHII」2019* Two drummers with the new line-up. High energy.
*Gacharic Spin Broken Lover mu metal* Older song with original lineup and two performers. Energy level is off the charts.
*DOLL$BOXX / Shout Down [Official Video]* Doll$Boxx was a side project with the four original GS members and singer Fuki from Unlucky Morpheus. A harder, rock guitar sound.

The only normal for them is that every song takes you down a different road! Try Mindset next, that’s the song that sent me down this band’s rabbit hole.

Ha ha - quite an experience for a first view of Gacharic Spin :) as you enjoyed this and seemed open to the fun/entertaining side they have I think you would probably continue to enjoy the range of their material. My suggestion is their latest official MV BakuBaku, but if you want to stick with live performances then "I wish I" would be my choice for you for something a little different - cheers!

It was inevitable that you would discover Gacharic Spin. Sooner or later one of the Wolfpack was going to suggest them. This is one of my other favorite bands and I'm looking forward to seeing your journey with them. You will not be disappointed. There is a lot of information to share from this top-tier band, but I think it's better to spare you a huge info-dump and let you gradually get to know them. I will say that you should not expect any particular genre from them but you should always expect exceptional talent and passion. I recommend the official "Mindset MV" next: ua-cam.com/video/QmL0V667QzI/v-deo.htmlsi=WcfKLNFlIWL79fkS

"Everything goes" is normal for Gachapin. So pretty much expect the unexpected ;)
Yes, they always deliver the goods, you just can't be sure which kind of goods you get.
As a follow up I'd suggest Mindset, then BakuBaku and then I Wish I.
But really, you can't go wrong with any of their songs.
A little warning though: I you go back in time in their catalogue, don't be surprised, if you have a hard time figuring out, whether it's the same band.
They had quite an illustrious and also difficult career with quite a few lineup-changes, so just wait for the comment section to fill you in LOL
    Cheers :)

also it is pronounced close to gotcha rick or reek Hanna the drummer/ singer/guitarist pronounces it as gotcha- reek -a- spin but the Japanese have there own special way of pronouncing i have also seen her in interviews telling an English speaker that gotcha rick spin is correct they made up the word gacharic so who really knows lol

@@RockCandy-ix3nn lol both of my ex -wives are Asian 1 Korean and 1 Filipina i was in south east Asia for 8 years out of all Asian languages the Japanese accent was the hardest to get used to but they have a much harder time trying to pronounce our overly complicated language then we do theirs

    • @Gideon_the_Seeker
      @Gideon_the_Seeker 5 місяців тому +1

I think your "gotcha rick" example is close enough to be perfectly acceptable. Technically it is more like the "reek" sound since the "i" vowel in Japanese is always pronounced like the English "ee" sound, e.g.: meet, sleep, keep etc.
Regarding the word Gacharic (ガチャりく), it is not a made up word, but it is kind of a made up grammatical form. It comes from "Gacha" (ガチャ) which refers to the very popular mini-toy vending machines found all around Japan. It also refers to the clattering sound those vending machines make. Philosophically, it also refers to luck, fate or chance (because you never know what random toy you will get from those machines). In modern times, the word is also used with some video games and it is basically the Japanese word for "loot boxes". So when Koga and Hana were coming up with the band name, they added a "~ric" to "Gacha~" to turn it into an adjective that modifies "Spin". And spin of course refers again to luck or chance.

i am very familiar with the way vowels are pronounced in Asian languages and actually in most other language's i was just simplifying it lol i did mention the "reek" pronunciation that i head Hanna use i=high e in English always as for the word Gacharic itself thanks i had never heard it explained before and i have tried to find out i did not however divide it into gacha and ric when i searched thought it was just one whole word tanks for that info i do like to e as correct as possible

Is that normal for this band? Believe me, this is still harmless. The energy of these ladies, especially in front of a live audience, makes the mascot of a well-known battery manufacturer look bloody awful. 🤭 As for the history of this band, I can only recommend their Wikipedia entry, as it's quite adventurous to say the least. :) The ladies of the current incarnation of GS you've seen here are the following:
    • Angelina 1/3 (Angie) » Vocals - she is one third Japanese (+Spanish and Filipino) and the youngest member at just 21 years old.
    • Yuri » Drums
    • Oreo Reona » Keyboard, Vocals
    • Tomo-Zo » Lead guitarist
    • F Choppa Koga (or Koga for short) » Bass
    • Hana » here in the first part on guitar later on the drums (did you notice the switch? 🤭), a true multi-instrumentalist and she also sings. With Koga she's one of the two founders of this band.
After 5 young Maids, Gacharic Spin is for me the best discovery in recent years. Musically, each of them is a master of her craft and vocally, with Angelina as well as Oreo and Hana, a damn good team whose greatest strength, in my opinion, is combining the different qualities of each of them and making something great out of it. And all these different talents also mean that Gacharic Spin is something of a mystery bag, where you just don't know what they're going to come around the corner with next. :)
    Greetings from Germany. ✌🏻🙋🏻‍♂
