In this video I replace my leaking heater core and flush the cooling system using a garden hose. While distilled water is best I had to use the water from my well, but it is filtered for hardness.
I drained as much antifreeze from the system as I could and saved it to bring to my local shop for recycling/proper disposal. What I could not drain I made sure to dilute it as much as possible. It was very little.

The rear heater hose actually goes to the back of the head. It was an attempt by the Pontiac engineers to keep the back side of the heads cool.
