Alcazar, if I only have to seat kids in third row, and have awesome features and design
Kia carens if I need to seat adults at the third row
XL6 , Since all of them have 3 star NCAP rating , XL6 gives all the basic features at reasonable price.
Definitely XL 6 is the best option bro, since it's falls under decent budget,using it for almost a year , excellent performance mileage and the main advantage is that the seating- it's very very comfortable big with good thigh support especially for senior citizens. Love XL 6❤️

Rather than comparing XL6 Vs Carens, I prefer comparing Diesel engine vs petrol engine, so Caren has clear advantage, however XUV700 diesel wud be the better car than both....
Been using XL6 manual for 2 years. 14-15 kmpl in city and 18-20+ kmpl on highway. People just fall in love once they take a ride. Car reviewers downplay the XL6 offering. Almost every reviewer misses out on pointing out the XL6 hybrid engine. The electric motors adds that extra punch when overtaking. One can really feel the power. Truly a value for money car and looks much better than Carens on the outside.
I think they are paid by kia, bcoz every time the are knocking down maruti😂😂 xl6 is the best car in that price point, if kia is going under 22-12 lakh, there are lot better options like safari, xuv700 😏

Such a biased review, it seems the guy is determined to make XL 6 inferior to carens, which is not the right assessment, moreover in India you should think about the price point, where XL 6 is certainly miles ahead. Lookwise also XL 6 is more appealing.
I have XL6 and the mileage it get is unbeatable .i get upto 23kmpl on highway and 14-15 in city and XL6 is very comfortable and the host has not done its work properly and there is charging slot on 3rd row.

Excellent review ... I bought XL6 in October 2019 ... A very convenient city & suburbs car ... Also takes up rough road smoothly ... At this price point & very affordable maruti spares & services it's unbeatable in its segment ... Very spacious very easy to get in & out for someone as hefty & tall like me ... Also my parents 70+ find it very comfortable to sit ... Nothing against carens as I haven't driven it ... Looking forward to more reviews from you ... Review was very informative , brisk & free flowing ...👍👍👍

Xl6 looks better than carens.
Alkazar failed to impress despite having all the bells and whistles just because of poor pricing. At 20+ lacs there are much better cars to look at. Any competition to Ertiga would fail to impress once the price crosses the 15L border and 20L is out of question. Don't understand how the manufacturers don't get that reading on the wall. Guess Carens would face the same destiny. I would anyday pay a bit more and take an Innova.
Further have driven and travelled in the last seat of Ertiga and being a medium built person at 5'6", found it very comfortable. Only that Ertiga or XL6/7 should add more features by adding a couple of lacs to lure the customers and of course increase the tire size
Innova will have better re-sale value.

It is not becz of pricing it is due to poor 3rd row seats and muv looks hyundai call it as an suv but looks like muv aslo xuv 700 is providing much better package than alcazar so people are going towards 700 instead of alcazar

16.5 KMPL is actual mileage don't go with readings. Just full tank your car before testing and after testing full tank it and calculate the actual mileage

Safari,XUV are SUVs Kia carens XL6 comes under the MPV segment so it's stupid to compare carens with Safari XUV, and the reviewer is not downplaying the XL6 sure it's a good car but in terms of performance and features it does lose out Carens is a much versatile vehicle in comparison.
XL 6 is due for upgrade, hope this will definitely come up with good features with a competitive price

I can’t believe I’m saying this but the XL6 is a clear winner. Extra budget will buy you more fancy equipment but at the end Maruti did nail it. A diesel in Maruti with 6 speed manual would have been icing on the cake.

Crash test rating NA for both. Ertiga still has 3 star. Kia cars build quality isn't reliable. Engines dropping from cars on high ways... that's kia.

Owing XL6 automatic, it’s a Best Buy and VFM. The most comfortable car one can get at the price range if you not too keen on fancy things, XL6 has more features which we use daily.

Yes, I think motorbeam should stop the taxi like face guy on reviewing the vehicles which can hurt a middle class family already owned an Ertiga (CNG fitted) even though I don't own an Ertiga then to it was bit harsh for my liking. Over acting on camera doesn't makes you a better reviewer.

I think it'll probably boil down to price for me - I was thinking of the XL6 - but I really wish it had more airbags and a better automatic gearbox. However for the price, it seems very nice. + Now with a potential upgrade to the XL6 this year, is the Carens a good option to consider so I don't have to wait?

Automatic is expected to be launched this year so definitely wait. Carens look like a nice car but xl6 simply beats it in every metric i value

They missed some features in XL6 and they didn't put the 2nd row up. I know that 3rd row of XL6 is better than KIA Carens, Toyota Crysta (Under thigh support, leg room) etc.

@MotorBeam team Probably you should review the car before know its complete features. XL6 does have charging point in 3rd row. I personally reviewed KIA carens too. In 2nd row of KIA carens, it seems both seats don't have much gap in between but where as in XL6, person can move to 3rd row from gap between 2nd row seats. KIA carens doesn't got safety rating till now but still launched the car. I would say don't be biased based on new car features see how comfortable it will be for different category persons and which category people will choose which car. Obviously in INDIA sasta maal chalta hai...

Exactly, Kia is somewhere 22lakhs with loaded features and xl6 is a good budget ride somewhere 12-14 lakhs max.

I feel C pillar bit thinner than XL 6, Only providing 6 Airbags will not suffice, if bodyshell integrity is not enough as required.

XL6 is better option. Any car is purchased for comfortable travel with proper space. Features are secondary
I don't own an ertiga ,but the reviewers need to show some respect for the Ertiga. It's used as a taxi only because it's that reliable and niggle free, and maintenance and running cost is extremely low.
XL 6 is good.. If changes made it will be more raging.. More plastic on exteriors should be avoided..16 or 17 inch tyres are the best option..
the only thing i regret about having XL6 is it doesn't have 6 air bags..or else I love that car

I am losing faith in your reviews. Clearly third row space is better in Carens (Reference to the knee space of the other guy. Also respect his views as well.) The bootspace by visuals as well as by official figures are higher for Carens.

Ya, he is tall and everything can't be perfect. I guess the other guy is normal Indian height. It's comfortable for him. Reviewing is easy but building is difficult, each mm counts.

V nice... I still love XL6 for being smaller. It helps in traffic. It's 4speed TC is extremely smooth. But all revierwes can't get past 4speeds it has

Design is important. looking and feeling quality while driving and resting in car is important. Kia caren almost meets any luxury car features. Kia is making Best cars.

In my opinion, cars these days are not so attached to the person who drives the car as the older ones.... They were gems, but now, they lack to that feel and are not attracting few people like us.... Many people buy this fancy cars for show off.." (no offence)....
Waiting since a long time, for XL7, hopefully with 16 inch tyre & 6 airbags . After Carens price announcement ... it should also be launched . 14 Lakh OTR, for top version will be comparable to 18 OTR of Carens petrol .
XL7 is not an option for INDIA. XL6 face lift is gonna come

You should compare with the prestige variant if you are comparing it with xl6 because the value is almost same with 2nd variant of Kia carens
But good comparison with all practical things u try.
XL6 is the best so far. You get power when you need it, its a great handler and that's because its sedan types with SUV looks. My car is giving me 15 per liter and it matters with booming petrol prices, it saves me thousands of rupees in a month compared to any other brand cars in the same range which are not even close. Build quality is very good. I got hit by a Royal Enfield from behind at 50 kmph and my car was in standstill as I was crossing a narrow railway underbridge waiting for the oncomers to pass. It had two guys on it, about 150 kgs plus bike weight another 150 roughly, so 300 kg on a downsloping road and all I had was an invisible scratch in the rear. That's enough for city roads given the increasing number of challans day by day. I don't like the outer design of Kia. And I don't feel its as reliable. It's also not fair to compare a car which has a top model at 12 lakh with a car that goes all the way to 20 lakhs. Lot changes when it comes to feature additions. At the top end price of Carens, you are better off buying an Alcazar, its a powerful engine. In XL6, you can comfortably seat four six footers and three 5.5 footers in third row, average weight
3rd row in xl6 has a accesories socket exactly om the side where parth was seated
Took test drive of both the cars yesterday. Now I am finding it difficult to decide which one to go for. Whether to go for Suzuki trust or Kia features. Comfort wise I felt Kia was way better but XL6 was not bad either. The cruise control is available in XL6 in both the variants but Carens I think it is available from Prestige Plus onwards.
Carens have all the safety features from the base models which lags in maut Suzuki heartattack platform 😂

I have driven XL 6 Alpha automatic for more than 10,000 kms n today completed it's one year. The car is a value for money n a great family car. Driving long distances is smooth n untiring. I get 13.1 in city drive n more on long drives. I feel Kia, n Hyundai are highly over priced. XL 6 costed me 13.5 lakhs on road with 5 Yr extended warranty n zero dep policy. Kia wud have costed me 5 to 7 lakhs more which is a huge gap..

I'm not sure about cly, but we have ertiga, it's ride quality on highways is just rubbish. It bounces like anything. Except first row, others will definitely will feel back pain. That's why Innova is selling like anything in spite of heavy price

What bloody nonsense you people are trying to tell, XL6 get on road price for Hight version for 12.5 lakhs and Carens get Hight model for 22 lakhs, how you can compare with XL6 vehicle, in fact you should compare with same versions ie. Prestige model of Carens.

XL 6 is an out right winner given the price we get it........the reviewer has not done his homework properly, it has 3 rd row charging slot......and it's low end pickup is very good....XL 6 is the most value for money car on any day compared to kia carens.I have been driving it for 1 yr and it's got super mileage of 15 in city and 18 on highway.

Except features xl6 is far better than carens,also safety wise xl6 is based on ertiga so ertiga scored 3 star with 2 airbags, and xl6 has more sturdy body in compare to ertiga so with 4 or 6 airbags and slight more improvement it can easily get 4 or 5 stars
