My 2017 Focus was as you state. I could not disable the DRL at all. My 2018 Ford Escape, however, functions like the Explorer in this video. I also have the ability to disable DRL in my settings menu on the dash display.
Your vehicle may have the standard daytime running lights as opposed to configurable. If that's the case, they will be on in any light position other than on whenever the transmission is out of park.
@@tineuno5057 You either don't have DRLs and it's older than a 2016 or you have DRLs, but they're not configurable (meaning they will light up as soon as you shift out of park in off, parking lights, or auto).
I want the other way around in Canada, when it is in the parking and when we on the car it should switch on even though it is not set in the auto position. It light should on when you turn on the car. What to do with it?
Not the case in my 2017 Ford explorer those daytime running lights come on with the lights off the lights on the car it's in park sitting idle the car neutral the car driving down the driveway at night with the lights off no way to turn them off
@@JohnConnor636 Sorry about the late reply. If your low beam goes out, you have to buy the whole light assembly if you want to replace it yourself, which I don't recommend doing.
Easy, turn on the lights, press the fog light button, then turn the light switch to AUTO. Then they will come on whenever the autolamp sensor turns on the headlights. If you turn the light switch to OFF after the fog lights have been turned on, they will turn off and you will have to turn them back on the next time your headlights are on.
@@juanjosejaimesmalpica404 Ah, you have the police version. You may have a feature known as "silent mode" which disables features such as the DRL when enabled. Try seeing if you have that and disable it. Then shift your transmission to neutral (make sure parking brake is applied at all times when parked) and check to make sure the daytime running lights are on.
My 2017 explorer does the opposite. I can’t shut off the running lights. When the car is parked and running they won’t shut off.
I have the same problem with my 2016.

Mine is 2016 model but I can’t see the daytime running check box in the lights setting.
How do I only turn on the running light when switch to auto?

I have 2016 explorer sport. I need DRL off at night while car is running. Any suggestions to make this happen
Turn the light switch off and place the transmission in park.
what year is your car ? mine is 2016 and i don’t have the option to check or uncheck the box for daytime lights in the menu settings.
Not my car, but this is also a 2016. You probably have regular non-configurable DRLs.
Do you figured
I have the same problem

Nothing, it's intentional for the DRLs to be off whenever the car is in park.

Does this model have LED low beam and halogen high beam?
Yes.

I think you might be referring to the accent lights. These can't be turned off when the car is on, not sure why.
What replacement bulb do I buy for the low beam / running lights?
That's an LED, it can't be easily replaced.
@@BusMaster99 thank you. So I'm just search LED on Amazon? Or is there different sizes? ( Sorry I dunno much about lights )

On my 2021 Explorer, one of the DRLs turns off depending on which turn signal I use. Is there a way to keep both DRLs on when using the turn signal?
Nope.
