You just have to go to a specific doctor that provides this service (DOT Physical) and take a physical. You’ll either get it for one year or two years and have to go back and renew when it expires.

Hi sir, please with all due respect I have one question. Can a person who is an asylum seeker, who has not yet received their green card but who has their work permit and social security permit, take the CDL practical exam? Because I am in the case and I left with my work permit for the CDL road test, I drove fine but I got stranded 3 times on the road. Because on my cdl learner permit, dmv wrote on it that I do not reside in the United States and that I am a visitor, even though I have been living here in the United States for 5 years already.
