@@EYE_GOTCHA according to her first daughter and in others interviews her IQ was considered also 163 or 164. People can be school smart and not be so bright out in the real world. Her becoming a dumb blonde for the studios and for fame is hustle. If the studio wasn't trying to make her into a Monroe u would see the brightness. She was very bright in some of her interviews where she's not imitating Monroe. Plus she was a good mom and had her own talent.

Then she did those publicity stunts that made her look like a cheap tramp, the infamous Sophia Loren debacle being the biggest one. After that, Fox didn't want her around so they loaned her out to cheap movies in Europe where she played the same character every time. All stars are celebrities, but not all celebrities are stars. Jayne unfortunately didn't understand that at the time and became nothing but a joke by the end, when she wanted to be a serious actress. A contemporary example of her would be Anna Nicole Smith or Kim Kardashian. And we all know they would never be considered serious acting material.
