I can't wait to see this all done. I hope ya'll give us a full walk through. And maybe a start to finish video 📹 that would be cool. Ok Thank You Again for letting us come along. So until next time ⏲️, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Cheers 🍻
This a good place to learn woodworking skills . From what I see U have a tremendous amount yet to do on main structure . Every day is a day closer to completion!
The new walls are looking great, thanks to your hard work and the experience provided by Mr T. If you’re going to do a lot more woodworking work throughout the new home, you really should consider getting a pair, or two of those metal folding saw horses that have a connector for 2x4’s to join them together. Any of the big-box home center carries them and they really do make it easier to work on, not to mention that they are a LOT stronger, and safer to use too. In time you may be able to attach a piece of used plywood to the top and you end up with a nice inexpensive assembly table too.
The garage build is looking good, I hope you guys can continue to work on inside framing and get a lot done this winter. So you can start living in the house soon, following...
If y'all would have done your whole house in ICF would it not been faster and better and cheaper because y'all will be doing most of the work. 01-07-24
Faster, yes... Cheaper, definitely not. I love ICF construction and I wish we could have done more of it but the price of concrete is pretty high these days. Our concrete wall costs 3x what it cost for one container.
I like Mr. T
Us too!! :)
I know Mr T is a godsend but don’t forget it works both ways - I bet he gets just as much out of the relationship as you.😊
I hope so! :)
Power of the croissant lmfao! Love it!!
Lol it's a real superpower haha :)
3:22 "Use the power of the Croissant!" 😆🤣 Best Channel here! lol
Lol thank you!! :)

Its great that you found someone to share their knowledge and time with you. Its invaluable.
I totally agree!! :)
I've seen 90 degree drills before but Mr. T's is seriously heavy duty. He's the kind of neighbor that everyone needs.
I totally agree!! :)
I agree, we all need friends that have Masters in the trades. Great job, next step, steps! lol
I totally agree! Thx so much! :)
More fun progress! I look forward to watching you walk up steps and not ladders!
Thank you!! Us too! :)

Looks good! Can't wait to see the stairs in place.
Just think how many of us take stairs for granted. It’s the little things that make a huge difference.
Thank you!! We are also excited to have stairs lol
Steps are going to be so nice

Ah, bummer, you could have had a drive through garage - the envy of all garages 🤣
We thought about it but finally we couldn't do it because the septic tank is too close for it to be feasible.
👍👍👍
Thank you!! :)

We should be okay because we have good drainage

Thank you!! :)
It really is starting to look like something now... it's a long haul to do this... but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end.

You do realize that with that powder-actuated gun you have you can shoot those 2x6 to that beam.
Yes, but we decided to bolt it instead.
