Handsewing the Beefroll Penny Loafer by Rancourt & Co in their factory in Lewiston, Maine. The handsewing process is the most intensive step in making any of Rancourt's moccasins. The shoe comes from stitching is pieces and the handsewer hand lasts the shoe using tacks, then starts to handsew the shoe, making holes with an awl as they go so they can make little adjustments.
