We may talk many things but Alchol consumers will consume. So NBCC should not interfere on government Business. They should think for future generations.
Alcohol or anything that destroys society is not government business alone. The Church and other civil societies have a voice in all of this. Alcohol consumers can also protest, if that is their choice. Let the leaders decide who to listen to.
My Opinions on Lifting the NLTP Act. I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to share my thoughts on the idea of lifting the Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Act. I know the NLTP Act was created to protect us from the dangers of alcohol. However, I think there are some important reasons to consider lifting the ban: 1. Unsafe Illegal Alcohol: Even though alcohol is banned, many people are still finding ways to buy it illegally. This alcohol is often unsafe and can harm people’s health. If we lift the ban and regulate alcohol sales, we can ensure that the alcohol people consume is safer. 2. Helping the Police: The ban makes it hard for the police to stop illegal alcohol sales. If alcohol is legal and controlled, the police can focus on other important issues in our community. 3. More Money for the State: Right now, illegal alcohol doesn’t bring any money to the state. If alcohol sales were legal and taxed, the state could use that money to improve services like healthcare and education. 4. Better Control and Education: With legal alcohol, we can teach people how to drink responsibly and make sure that alcohol is sold only to those who are allowed to buy it. I respect the NBCC’s role in our community, and I think it’s important to find a balanced solution that considers both the benefits and risks of lifting the ban. I believe that by working together, we can find the best way forward for everyone.
I absolutely agree with some of his statements, but the problem in Nagaland is that those in power are involved in alcohol syndicates, and there's no one to stop them. Even the so-called freedom fighters, who hold good positions in their parties, engage in these syndicates, and no one dares to condemn them because even the ministers and MLAs are puppets in their hands. So, the NLTP Act in Nagaland will never be successful unless Jesus himself returns.
Very true involved for money better alcohol shop open openly the original not that syndicate in fact it destroys the human body those who consume 😢😢 without any limitations
' Nltp act kept in cold storage " ' when it is not implemented yet" this points woke me up. We all knows top politicians control Liquor Syndicate in nagaland. Nagaland govt would never revoke nltp act because they are supplying all over Nagaland single handedly except eastern nagaland.
For this NLTP I remember today that those 80's Lt Rev Rekum fasted 40 days and night most probably in his fifties and due to his health weakness he was hospitalized at Kohima.God answered their prayer we should not ignore the senior advice
Even a grown up man like Krolo doesn't understand the intricacies of NLTP issue till now. Look, We have to first understand the role of NBCC and Govt. NBCC is a civil organization which falls under pressure group. Nbcc have no authority to go around checking gates, vehicles and picket shops. Its the job of Excise and police department. If there's shortage of man power , govt should recruit more workforce, and other mechanisms required, that's all.. but they haven't done that yet. NBCC, Tribal hohos and students Union can only exert pressure. But people are blaming NBCC for the failure of NLTP as if it's the NBCC's duty to implement the Act. In 35 years ever since the Act was passed, the govt have never bothered to review the loopholes in the Act. And suddenly there's a proposal to lift the Act. Is this the way to execute Laws and Policies? Also, many are talking about loss of Revenue.. well there are many other ways to generate revenue.. why so obsessed only with Liquor as a source? And now the plan is for Partial lifting. But how will the govt decide who is eligible for getting License.. again there will be issues over that. And those who don't get License will continue the illegal trade for sure.. and considering the multiple taxation, the prices of Liquors is unlikely to drop regardless of it's quality.. so the consumers will continue to look for cheap liquors... and then we're back to square one. The crux of the problem is that, we should exert more pressure on Govt to strengthen the Act by increasing manpower and other mechanisms and infrastructure. It's not the failure of Act, its the failure of State government.
Khrolo bro, he touched on the poor implementation of the NLTP act, probably a nod to the rampant sale of adulterated liquor and the syndicates running the show. But no worries, maybe give the video another watch?
Sir, What u have said is very true but what is your view toward black market and adulterated liquor going around the market. Since, nobody can stop or dictate to consume alcohol,What should be the measure for price contol and health safety for those individual who use it.
NLTP Can't blame for liquor adulterate in state.what about petrol adulterate,Chines food which is not good for consumption. Church can't dictag to drink but Police can do it by law. For this NLTP is created. It is church duty to protest against liquor in our state . If hindus stop others to eat beef why not christian protest against liquor in christian state.
Thankyou Rev Dr Pongsing....for😢 better understanding to our fellow Naga brothers and sisters.... My opinion NLTV Act should be Removed videly from our Land. Long live Nagaland for Christ
The implementation of the NLTP Act, despite being considered a failure by some, has had a significant positive impact on our society. While keeping this act in place, the government should consider improvements by establishing separate councils in each district (as stated). These councils, comprising the administration, civil societies, and police, should collaborate with the excise department to effectively manage the act. I also agree with the former General Secretary of NBCC on matters concerning revenue generation and the pre-NLTP situation in Nagaland.
What positive effect? It has given rise to more problems than good. The alcohol syndicate was the first syndicate in Nagaland and this gave rise to numerous syndicate systems that have broken the market system in every business sphere. The numerous rise in underground outfits is basically for taxation and owning these illegal businesses by themselves. The government cannot do anything. No one owns responsibility. Presently, Broken families are more compared to pre-Act.
GON has enacted a law (NLTP Act) in 1989 out of situational compulsion. We have been observing it as a failed law. Lifting or not lifting of this act has little to do with the civilized society. The problem lies only with the half-civilised Naga society. Dr Pongsing who has a vast knowledge of both religious and secular background speaks out his views to ponder upon.
Due to consuming adulterated alcohol Hundreds of Christian Nagas are dying every Year. Families are getting destroyed... Kids are growing up without a Father... Wife's are living life without a husband. So, Whether NLTP or No NLTP It's a shame to be called a Christian State. Shame on me , Shame on us, Shame on NBCC , Shame on We Nagas.
Even if NLTP act is lifted. Person who does not drink will not drink. And even if Liquor is banned in Nagaland like now, person drinking will drink by any means. Church must do what church needs to.
Thanku sir for sharing it was 💯 % success in first place i should say, yea if it has to lifted then we need more educated persons( consumers) who know or understand general good or bad about it, my opinion.
Im overwhelmingly happy that former General Secretary NBCC sir/Dr. Pongshing came up with clarification in the social media with his vast knowledge on history, social, legal context of past and present for implementation of NLTP Act in Nagaland. Nagas need more of leaders, bold and clear thinking like him. Long life to you sir!
I really appreciates the prayers warriors in Nagaland including the those had been given their services relentlessly to the citizens of our state by their good visions and thought which came into being since the inception of NLTP Act 1989. Besides, Everything has changed when the clocks stick continuely as incomparable to the past which we acted upon. For instance, '' By saving a single piece of an Egg in your one hand whereas on the other hand, a dozen of eggs may lost it on the way to home''. Most of the youths are dying due to the bad quality of alcohol consuming with high prices days by day. Instead of getting the good brands imported of alcohols from outside of the state or locally we produced it indigenously. This would make positive impact to our state in economically and politically, There should be strictly law implementing upon the citizens with some restrictions.
It's not NBCC's failure, Naga people are not real Christian our forefathers were the real followers we appreciate them.. meanwhile we naga are disobedience to the promise of our forefathers. I see no one is implemented the NLTP act in our life..... Leading by Nagaland govt followed by police officer.... Our promise is just written in paper but not yet implemented.... We must implement the act once and see how it work .... Therefore, my dear fellow Naga we must reaffirm that act then only we may see what it meant.
Thank you sir for sharing what is all about NLTP. I wasn't really aware of having such provisions in this very act. Now the question is, why the state government or law enforcing agencies failed to implement it atleast for a trials. And now everyone simply said that this very act is a total failure.
Due to alcohol consumption many parents , wives, children are suffering like the hell . Think wisely all and let's redo and re-live our lives to the fullest in Peace and harmony .

The NLTP ACT was not just a mere agreement on the paper, but a convenant that was made between GOD and churches under the NAGALAND BAPTIST CHURCH COUNCIL; make no mistake, you will find yourselves going against convenant of GOD.
Hay, Naga people please, please, please, don't ever misused God's Name. What do you mean by covenant of God? How do you understand covenant of God? We can see only 6 covenant of God in Bible 5 covenant in Old Testament and one covenant in New Testament it is calld New Covenant that is the Blood of Jesus Christ. Which is said "by his blood you you are save or you will be save. But any state govt's act or Bill can not be covenant of God.
Can't successfull 100% but it Bring a Lots of Changes the UGLY DIRTY and BAD behaviour of images ok. So up to this much NBCC what bring more change in Nagaland for the Society hua
You expect NBCC to go around checking vehicles and shops? Common, have some basic knowledge. That's the job of excise and police. And they have failed their job. Don't blame NBCC. They're only a pressure group. Bible clearly says "my people perish for lack of knowledge". Think and ask to learned people of diverse Background and your elders, why things are the way they are. Don't just pass comments without any substance.
NBCC being a spiritual and moral guardian to believers has an obligation to urge people to stay away from bad things including alcohol. And to implement the NLTP ACT is the responsibility of the Government and to obey the law is the responsibility of the public as a responsible citizen.
With NLTP act, liquors are readily available without any regulation such as age bar, parameter within which liquor can be sold such as school/college vacinity etc. Therefore, NLTP act should be lifted so that all such regulation be issued.
O' LORD, may you give us the best Wisdom and Knowledge to live as your good children on Earth. It is us who is evil but not in the things we take. It is people who is unholy. I am completely against of taking alcohol and I am too much against of Selfish, jealous, corrupted people of God. I am I who love Jesus and accept Jesus as my personal saviour. I am save not by my good deed but by His grace. May we all be save by His grace. It is people who is
Any organisation that wants NLTP act to be implemented strictly. Than they should check those illegal Alcohol shops in every nook and corner of District's. If remove NLTP act Alcohol priece will decrease..
We all have lost our loved ones to ALCOHOL, some we lost them to death and some to physical and psychological illnesses and we still want to lift the prohibition of this deadly liquor? Thankyou Tinglem for bringing Rev. Dr Pongshing to this spotlight. I hope many will respond and act positively. Who lives, if Nagaland dies???
Reverend churches should support NLTP Act but it should not stop from there We the Church should help the alcohol consumer by conducting Bible Camps, personal counseling and different spiritual activities etc. The church should focus more on the souls winning than materials development, we need material development but soul winning should be first. I saw many addicts and drunkards are changed through Bible camps and I appreciate those churches who conducted this kind of programs for the addiction. The church should priortize the souls not material development, material development should be next
Church should advocates NLTP Act but Church should also move forward and help the drunkard by conduct many spiritual activities like Bible camp, seminar, revival services and personal counseling etc. In this way NLTP Act will be more meaningful and it is the church responsibility to look after the spiritual life of the society and at the same time We the church can advice govt. Not to harm our society
Well said Dr...appreciated but here is my personal views to share. In Dimapur we can see the more than 100 illegal alcohol shops so what i feel is Government is trying to regulate illegal/ spurious alcohol so let's think positively as well.
He is absolutely right, But nagaland govt wants to fill their pockets with the revenue that is why they are trying to remove this act" theres no other way in nagaland to earn money....
NLTP Act is like Tree of knowledge in the garden of Eden. And God gave blessed Nagaland to Nagas still we want better than God.all the best...win the world and revenue And loose our souls.
12.47 enka easy ase but the people are against the NLTP Act and the entire population of nagaland are not from some Christian colleges where the churches can implement it forcefully on the people against the wishes of the majority of the population. As a Christian, my humble request to the Churches is to start harvesting souls and preach the gospel of God rather than dictating the public what to eat, drink & which party to vote. And lastly, voice out on the taxation of 26 NPG's aswell God bless!!
Selling liquor legally is a sin but selling illegally is not a sin according to the NBCC. We can't see any NLTP act in dimapur and kohima every nock and corner wine shop is available hoo..
So you also mean since police can't stop crimes and theives, they should quit their job and let criminals continue their crimes right? Etu ki logic ase?
Bcoz govt, police, nscn , even churches are thives only money, money , those who are drunker let them drink they will learn One Day .so no NLTP act in Nagaland is better.
NBCC has been the master mind behind this prohibition Act in 1989 pressuring the government and this act has been passed . Why can't the NBCC pressure the government again on selling illigal alcohol over the pass years . Which the situation remains the same like before NLTP act, the use of alcohol and drugs remains even worst after the Act. There is no use of stoping this Act if it will remain like this unattended.
Well said Sir... Ministers and MLAs want to remove the Act because they want to loot more money instead of concerning about health and life. First liquor selling licence should be given to ministers and MLAs especially to spokesperson K.G. kenye...
If only govt and public organisation should have implemented strictly from the start 1989, than we won't be discussing on lifting of NLTP today.. but since, both government and NBCC had failed with this act miserably.. 😢
Yes, NLTP act have passed but Nagaland state government did not do anything to implement the act instead taking advantage of enhancing their personal wealth.
Sharing a thought onNLTP act is anyway good but a lot of disadvantages like adulterated liqour poor quality with higher rate. This is the real benefit of NLTP Act for the people of Nagaland😂😂
We should move with the world and not stay in ancient way . Churches should see in another perspective way also . We the common people support the lifting of NLTP act.

We can not just blame the NBCC. If the Act is pass then Govt is responsible to implement it. Church can not go checking or force anyone on anything.
It's the duty of the Nagaland govt. to implement not the nbcc
NBCC being a spiritual and moral guardian to believers has an obligation to urge people to stay away from bad things including alcohol. And to implement the NLTP ACT is the responsibility of the Government and to obey the law is the responsibility of the public as a responsible citizen.
🙏🙏👍. God Bless
This act should be strightly implement in Enpo (FNT ) juresdiction by the ENPo we dont want Rum ( we want good education
How good and pleasant if Nagas discuss bad to worst corruptions, unemployment or developments topic instead of NLTP act.
One should not think what he or she is doing something is right everytime......
It is people who is
Nltp should be lifted!

Any organisation that wants NLTP act to be implemented strictly. Than they should check those illegal Alcohol shops in every nook and corner of District's. If remove NLTP act Alcohol priece will decrease..
It should be lifted....
God bless you 🙏
I am a national workers but in this situation I stand n Full support NBCC
NLTP Act is like Tree of knowledge in the garden of Eden. And God gave blessed Nagaland to Nagas still we want better than God.all the best...win the world and revenue And loose our souls.
Very true 👍
I agree with you sir
12.47 enka easy ase but the people are against the NLTP Act and the entire population of nagaland are not from some Christian colleges where the churches can implement it forcefully on the people against the wishes of the majority of the population.
As a Christian, my humble request to the Churches is to start harvesting souls and preach the gospel of God rather than dictating the public what to eat, drink & which party to vote.
And lastly, voice out on the taxation of 26 NPG's aswell
God bless!!
I ful support NBCC
Selling liquor legally is a sin but selling illegally is not a sin according to the NBCC. We can't see any NLTP act in dimapur and kohima every nock and corner wine shop is available hoo..
NBCC is richer than Nagaland.
So dont interfere in Government policies.
😂😂
Calling the wrath by Nagas.
Naga manu is already under the cursed.....
@@aman.bhai82-e9m How? And why?
NBCC should focus on salvation of the souls.
Let the government do their job.
Thank you Thinglem for sharing this content.
May God bless you all the more 🙏@thinglemkonyak
Really appreciated your rational views & accuracy statement regarding the ongoing issues of NLTP ACT. May God bless you Sir.
Appreciated what Dr.Pongsing have shared here . I support with his views and suggestions 🙏
If nbcc don 1 2 implement nltp 10 they should take action who is selling alcohol in every corner
Bze government n police cnt stop
So you also mean since police can't stop crimes and theives, they should quit their job and let criminals continue their crimes right? Etu ki logic ase?
Bcoz govt, police, nscn , even churches are thives only money, money , those who are drunker let them drink they will learn One Day .so no NLTP act in Nagaland is better.
Full support sir 💚 May the good lord bless you 🙏🙏🙏
NBCC has been the master mind behind this prohibition Act in 1989 pressuring the government and this act has been passed .
First liquor selling licence should be given to ministers and MLAs especially to spokesperson K.G. kenye...
Well said sir...
Full support NBCC pls my Lord Jesus Christ, help them work for nagaland
If only govt and public organisation should have implemented strictly from the start 1989, than we won't be discussing on lifting of NLTP today.. but since, both government and NBCC had failed with this act miserably.. 😢
All the Nagas will see the warth of God.
Let's all pray that the NLPT act doesnot lift so as to continuously be under the Lord almighty God.Let's hope for the best.

I agreed to our respected sir, but yesterday was and today is.
I agree with Dr. Pongsing.
Sir nungi epu shah hukao tukhen neshiu, mubudhü beui hapakei ejuma longi meihen. Shao habakei shahngai etuh.
We should move with the world and not stay in ancient way .
Churches should see in another perspective way also .
We the common people support the lifting of NLTP act.
