- Out of 9 units, this single unit comprises about 20% of the AP Exam. Why? In this video, we review AP Chemistry Unit 3: Intermolecular Forces and Properties.
Turns out, the major macroscopic properties of substances and mixtures can be explained by the Intermolecular Forces of attraction between molecules. These include:
a) Melting Point
b) Boiling Point
c) Vapor Pressure
d) Viscosity
e) Surface Tension
f) Solubility
It can be a tough unit of study because we are visualizing molecules, and modeling the invisible forces between them that result in visible macroscopic properties. So let's get started!

Thank you so much!
that was helpful thanks!
THANK UUUU
No imfs?
so there were actually 0 questions about this on the exam, i’m pissed
Lmfao it was literally 20% thermo tbh
Thats what im saying 💀💀💀
Frq had some shit I've never seen tf is a substituitonal alloy
I actually have good memory which is why im tweaking. In reality though, there was some solubility stuff, and boiling put stuff as well like why a bigger molecule or oxygen bonding with hydrogen vs carbon with hydrogen
Update: Literally only ONE question was about imfs
