Had an 86 S-10 Blazer with the 4 cyl. The first real SUV. Too bad they don't make them like that any more.
Had a 85 with 2.8 in the same shape...got run off the road one night..totaled it...miss that truck

Loved this video because it reminds me of my dad's s10. He had one exactly like this one, same year and everything. I learned to drive on it back in the 90s. I can't wait to show him this video lol he's gonna tear up lol
Good trick for when you shift your 4x4 back into 2wd is run it in reverse before going forward in 2wd.
My dad had one of these the same exact year we use to take it up to Detroit and Snow peak near Stayton to go camping, wow I would love to have one of these! You just do not see them this clean! Such a time machine!
Had a 86, red and silver. Nice little buggy. The 2.8 with the automatic was a gutless wonder. Body completely disintegrated.

My 89 is a 2 door, 4x4, 4.3 auto. I'm the third owner and it has 270,000 miles on the factory drive train. Still runs great and I just drove it from VA to CA and back.
I also have a 89 4.3 4x4 , 327500 mi. 2nd owner . I have the sport package so its got the rear tire mount rear de-fog / wiper . only problem staring to have the led dash cutting in and out
I had an 86 4x4 with the 2.8. I now have a 91 4x4 with the 4.3

Well we are in 2022 now they are expensive, the lowest one i found was 7,000 dollors
I've got a 1984 2DR, 4X4, Blazer, 2.8L/Auto with 44,925 Original Miles on it right now, It had 43,000 miles on it when I first got it, I'm the 3rd owner of it, The Original owner sold it to the 2nd owner and he only had it for like 2 weeks and wrecked it into a ditch and bent the Frame, I bought it and started rebuilding it, I pulled the Body off the Frame and went and bought another Frame and then spent the next 1.5 years rebuilding the Frame, I tried my best while I had it all apart to find a good 4.3L/5 Speed, 4X4 Donor that way I could ditch the 2.8L/Auto out of it but I just couldn't find one, when I got the Blazer back together and drove it for a while and guess what! I found a good Donor 4.3L/5 Speed, 4X4 and it only has 91,000 Original miles on it and after I bought the Donor then as Luck may have it the Front Transmission Seal went out on the 2.8L Transmission and I had also just got my other S10 back on the road as well, So now my 1984 Blazer will be getting tore apart again to get a 1993 4.3L TBI/5 Speed and I'll be keeping the 84s Transfer Case bc I'm keeping the 84 Dash and where It's Cable Driven I've got to have the 84 Transfer Case to run the speedo.... The body was in amazing shape though until I uncovered so OLD body work where they had replaced the Quarter Panels but in stead of Welding them in, they used Panel Bond and that's it, So of course the Panel Bond broke loose and the quarter panels started falling off, So now I need to weld those on and get everything fixed up again, But she's a Project and I'm in no big hurry to get her done, Also the Interior is in Immaculate shape in it too, You can check it out on my channel if you want, I've got several videos on it, Some Good & Some Bad LoL

I have a 89 s10 blazer as clean as yours but mines is blue and white perfect condition too they are just awesome to drive it really is a time machine and it’s for sale 89 Chevy s10 blazer 4x4 139000 miles perfect condition blue and white combo with blue interior and best part it has factory sunroof

Now days I drive a 2005 Chevy Tahoe LS 5.3v8 4x4 with trailer towing package - only had 24K miles on it and garage kept when I bought it in 2018 - local mechanics ask when I want to sell it to them since my Tahoe is made of medal vs newer Tahoes

I bought my ex the same identical truck back in the day only it was all black .. same year an all .. while we had out fir test drive it developed a noise in engine .. so they offered it way cheaper an I bought it an put a brand new 2.8 litre engine in it an she drive it for at least 4 years .. great looking little trucks .. we took camping a lot folded down back seat an slept in back with sleeping bags 👍.. they weren’t very powerful.. hardly get out of its own way lol
my dad has the same truck but it is a GMC jimmy the same color black and grey with the red line. it was my grandfather’s truck but my grandpa died my dad stayed with the truck. the only difference from my dads truck and the one in the video is the motor it has. my dad and i installed a 5.3L that is one difference the other one is that the one in the video is a chevy and my dads it is a GMC. and the seats in the truck of the video are intact and in my dads truck it’s not. it’s nice to see a truck exactly the same as my dad’s.
