I have been a playing music for years and whether it is on stage or street I am always looking to streamline a reliable set up ready to rock anywhere.
while AA batteries are not too hard to come by they certainly fall very short other performance that can be had by a Lithium-Ion battery pack such as used to recharge cell phone batteries. on top of that they are more environmentally friendly and economically going to save you a lots of money on buying batteries over and over again.
Here is the cable to grow from USB to DC 9v and list of the other things I used to modify my Roland Micro Cube.

Also here is a bonus list I put together of portable amps that look decent by the reviews. Frankly if I bought a new amp today I would go with the VOX Mini 5 or 3 but I think this Roland Microfiber is unlikely to die on me and sure does a great job for now.

Awesome! Been trying to make up my mind between amps that come with rechargeable batteries installed--NUX and Spark mini. But, I like the sound of the Cube alot more. Because of your battery pack demo, solved my dilema...definitely going with the Cube. Thanks
Oh cool. How is it working out for you?
Great video great job I also have a fender passport mini guitar amp but it doesn’t work on AAs is this disqualify it? How much is a lithium back battery pack for this? What’s the dollar amount for talking about appreciate your feedback keep them coming
I also have a roland micro rx it should work on this amo to
I’m trying to come up with a solution for that weakass power button. I used to put my micro cube into my backpack and after about 4x going in n out of my pack the button broke.
Recently purchased another nearly brand spanking new/old micro cube for $60 off a cool guy on craigslist and I want to protect that power button in the rear before I even try putting it into any bag. I’m always looking for low tech ways to improve things. Thanks for the ideas!
cool hack!
About how much time playing time do you get on a fully charged lithium pack, medium volume? I know there are variables, but typical time?
