    Richard what type of meter do you use to verify the electrostatic capability of a fogger

    Richard is possible add voltage to a HVLP sprayer oa a Airless? to mod this to electrostatic ?

    Actually the paint is negatively charged and the droplets are attracted to a grounded target. Not the other way round unless you’re using a stiff system in which case the entire fluid supply and equipment setup are live. And consequently very dangerous in the wrong hands. Know your stuff before sharing. Well tried!

      Oh by the way what is the theology off the paint you’re quoting here? It makes a difference because the chemical make up of the droplets determine the resistivity of it and as such the only other two subjects of interest remaining are velocity and charge applied. Of course grounding potential has to be adequate for the charge level or the system will tend to wrap-back.
