Perks that help the killer go faster are the best considering time management is important in this game
I love the knight! Turns every match into a game of chess. Trying to figure out if the survivor your chasing is a W pawn or a jungle master queen. Hiding from him is challenging. The guy can pull off two hit combos and by default it's vary risky trying to pull off a save on him because he can just plunk a guard down to watch his back. Can't wait to see how this works VS bully squads
Makes sense seeing as the knight can only move in an L.
My personal basic build for the Knight;
Nowhere to Hide, Call of Brine, Eruption, Discordance/Nurse's Calling/Darkness revealed.
The Knight is an M1 Killer at his core, with no traversal abilities, which means he _needs_ info and gen regression to be able to get anything done.
After kicking a gen, Nowhere to Hide will show you the aura of nearby Survivors, punishing those who try to hide behind nearby obstacles in order to get back on the gen the second you turn away. With their aura revealed you can enter a chase immediately, however you should use you power for a milisecond (ideally the Jailer as he stays for longer) without moving next to the gen before initiating the chase as the Guard will force Survivors to let the gen regress a bit (thanks to Call of Brine) and give you some free pressure.
Summoning a Guard close to a downed Survivor before picking them up can be a good deterrent for potential savers, as even if they do blind you (which is much easier now because of the grace period they granted Survivors who try to flashlight save) the guard chasing them will force them away, either giving you the opportunity to down the first Survivor again or use the Guard to know where they are and initiate a chase.
His power is, to be really blunt, basically a worst Artist. As anything else than a tool for protecting a gen/slug or closing a loop, the Guards won't accomplish much on their own. Even merely holding W is enough to waste every Guard except the Assassin because of his speed. Their saving grace is that they will often go through pallets and vaults, making for a nasty surprise for pallet campers.
The Jailer is honestly the best Guard in my opinion as his detection radius and patrol time make him much better at protecting objectives or punishing trolls out of your immediate reach.
For example, on Coldwind Farm there is a 2-story building and Survivors can leave the house through a hole in the wall on the second floor. If they go too far to teabag you while you can see them from outside and the Jailer is available, drop him close enough to the house and he is able to actually float _up_ to reach the Survivor on the second floor as his detection radius is a bubble and not a flat circle. Which forces the Survivor to retreat in the house and get chased by the Jailer or to jump down the roof to evade the Guard and into your waiting sword (I can't express how hilarious that was to do XD).
The Knight is one of the few Killers that can invalidate the dreaded shack loop, as just quickly dropping a Guard in the middle of shack will force the Survivor to hold W and leave shack or get chased by 2 people at once (basically ensuring getting hit at some point).
However it needs to be noted that although the Guard can trigger perks such as Eruption if they down a Survivor, they _cannot_ trigger gen-kick perks like Call of Brine or Overcharge if you instruct them to damage a generator in your stead. If at all possible, use the Guards (ideally the big dude) only to break nearby pallets or walls before picking up a downed Survivor to save some time.
The Guards _cannot_ be used to efficiently guard hooked Survivors as if they are in a chase with a Survivor, the second the chased Survivor unhooks another the Guard will vanish. Guards can however be useful at securing slugs if another Survivor is nearby. Chased Survivors can be protected by their teammates, if another Survivor takes a hit for the chased Survivor the Guard will immediately vanish, hurting a Survivor but maybe preventing a down. Ironically the best defense against the Knight is to stay in groups of two, as the Knight will have to choose who to chase since the Guards will almost never hit anyone without the Knight's help in cutting off the Survivor (except the assassin since holding W has limited effectiveness against him). Not to mention that genrushing is very effective against the Knight (like any Killer without solid mobility to capitalize on info on faraway Survivors working on a gen).

@@InuyashaDogDemon Overcharge, when facing decent players, won't trigger on anyone, and the extra regression takes a bit to kick in and the Guards won't stay for long enough to allow much of a difference, might as well have additional info instead of like 3% more regression.

Brutal Strength -Trapper, Nowhere To Hide -The Knight(s), Lethal Pursuer -The Nemesis and Enduring -The Hillbilly.

I like playing as the knight, but my main issue with him is that just like nemesis’s zombies the only real value you get out of the other knights is zoneing people away from loops. Also BHVR needs to balance the new map and all maps in general. There shouldn’t be 2 pallets 5 meters apart from each other on this map or less than 10 pallets spawning on shelter woods

Ya the new map has an insane amount of pallets. One guy slammed 8 pallets on me i broke them and there was still so much more. The middle of the map has almost no gens either but a stupid amount of pallets so survivors can just dash to the middle making you waste your time

Imo, the Map also looks a bit disgusting with the overdone red sunset hue. Also there’s only 1 spot on mid/main that guarantees a gen (the rest are on the outskirt) making it impossible to 3gen. This map is an absolute pain in the ass if you play without long range slowdown or killer with no mobility.
I like this killer, he's not crazy strong but he's not crazy weak either. His kit seems complicated but is ultimately very simple. Use it for info, to delay a survivor action or force them away from loops. Occasionally it may even net you a hit or two.

Sloppy Butcher, Jolt, Scourge Hook Pain Ressonance and Deadlock; this is the same build I use on my Pyramid Head when I'm not using I'm all Ears and Nurse's Calling instead of Pain Ressonance and Sloppy Butcher! Completely focused on chases and don't worry too much about kicking gens! I played over 15 matches using that build today, all of them 4k or 3k and hatch! You'll thank me later!
D3AD Plays, it's time. I know you love the spirit fury + enduring combo. Please do spirit fury + enduring + hubris. I have a feeling this combo will be even more powerful. Especially on the spirit with the double iri add-ons (Loved those videos by the way).

If you gonna do a chase build for Knight, you might want to use his detection range addon. It's so crazy i even managed to get nea while she was sprintbursting. The range is so high its mostly impossible to escape the minions.

I seen someone use a build to just troll one last survivor. They used the one that blocks the exit gate with your ghost. They kept letting the survivor wiggle lose cast their ghost at the gate which would block it too and re pick them up. They did that 5 times before end game killed them
In love with this power, the jailer is amazing when it comes to survivors trying to block a hook

Agreed, he is annoying and not scary but his gameplay style an a new interesting challenge and I also enjoy that 😎👌 my first game with him today I escaped. His minions are his true strength but you can see and hear him clanking around way across the map.
He's super easy to deal with. Shift w and you win every time. Just don't be a brainlet and make sure you run to another tile. Killer is really weak. Every one of them I've gone against I just shift w the moment they use their power and I'm gone
@@plank3452 Yeah I’ve been trying that but then the moment they use their power and I’m on a loop they just get out of it immediately to just bait me and they get a free hit or down. He takes some practice to get used to, almost like artist.

The Knight plays fun as HELL Regardless of how powerful he is. i LOVE being able to set my Minions on the Survivors, even if they hit them or not. and that STRIKE he does with the sword, holy SHIT it's powerful!

I feel like he needs a rework or a good buff I think you can do something cool with the different builds and if your good at the game (which i'm not that good at) but he's just too weak his power is very easy to counter especially against good players. The guards get stuck alot I looped a knight for 2 gens without getting hit because every time he uses his power I can just w key away maybe its just me maybe that knight was still learning maybe I get too many bad killer games maybe I still need to learn more with knight but this is my opinion.

Knight is pretty weak. Only got 2 hits with your power in first game and 3 hits in second game. A couple zoning hits but that's cause they stayed at the loop, instead of just holding w. Also, imagine having a power that can kick gens for you, and coming with a perk that activates upon a gen kick BUT they don't work together lol... what a shite killer

Bro I tried knight when it came out a couple days ago, and man is he broken. I can't even lie, I don't even think you big youtubers are optimally using his power yet, maybe cause you're focusing more on perks to be safer than sorry, but he's incredible even raw. I've been sandwiching survivors like they're playing pacman lol

It’s hard to disagree with you because you’re so good but this build only worked because the players didn’t play knight very well. It’s so easy to counter him if you run away. They kept trying to loop pallets and windows
Played around 10 round, most of them 4k or 2k because i let them out. Imo he needs a nerf, hes too strong. The slow guard can camp a gen or even a hook for like 20 sec, while i go around, come back and the place the next one. While its ability in itself is broken, he has just not enough cooldown. In one round a decent squad, defenetly swf didnt manage a single gen on a small map. And an astonishing amount of player just gave up after 5 min. (play on gold II rn, normaly make it to iridecent I, so no, not new or ash players i went up against)

@@Notwedsquid he is out for a few hours, wait until killer mains figure him out. Just set the guard stationary and the survivor needs to leave the loop. Most cmom error is to make patrols across the map, u need to use him like artist, making the loop deadly or just to make them run in an other direction. The setup is super quik and u wont make any considerable distance. Thats only for anti loop, but he is a god tier camper

IMO this killer is insanely boring with such a dull power they made him look so cool and they had so much potential to give him a cool power (Shield Bash for example) but they made his power being able to summon 3 minions to chase ppl? Idk just seems weak
