I just saw your 'Australian Story" video on ABC-TV, when you and your twin brother were much younger and I was impressed by your ability, even then, to express yourself clearly and with honesty ... just as you have in this video, ten years later. I am 72 years old, a retired journalist, only now becoming aware of trans-gender issues, despite a lifetime career in news, current affairs and documentary. During my childhood and teenage I had no idea there was such a thing as gender choice or the possibility of re-assignment ... but there must have been just as many children then who suffered the worst imaginable prejudice, physical and mental oppression, family rejection, because they identified as 'other'. Your story and that of Ellie in Mackay which I've also just seen on ABC give me hope that, maybe, things are changing for the better, at least in Australia. Thanks for sharing your personal journey so far ... I have no right or reason to, but I feel proud of what you have achieved! Ron (Sydney)
So, so important Georgie, the courage and resilience that both your mother Rebecca and yourself have demonstrated, while forging a critically important path, through the courts and many other blockers, that not only does, and will continue, to both support and save lives and families across Wellington, Victoria, Australia and the World. Thank you so much! ❤❤
