Hello ma'am, I have applied for MS, Biotechnology for fall 2023 I have completed BE, Biotechnology with • 8.6 CGPA (with 5 backlogs- cleared) • 6 months of internship • 2 months of Hands-on training on Molecular biology • Few workshops So is it possible to get into NEU?
hi! I've watched and enjoyed a few of your Northeastern videos, and today I was accepted to the Masters biotech program! i wanted to ask if you have done any research during your time at NEU? I am interested in joining a research lab, but I am not sure how many research opportunities are available to graduate students
@@charuta yes..but that includes fees and living expenses or just fees. I have only the loan of 40l...so a bit worried about how to manage the rest. Please let me know
@@poojasawlani3985 hi I have mentioned separately about the fees structure per semester and the living expenses per month. Based on that you can calculate how you can manage 🙂
First off, thank you for your information. I’m an international student who is also interested to apply for a Master of Biotech in Northeastern. Since for international students the deadline for application is earlier, I might have to start applying before the end of my last semester. So in short, does Northeastern accept final year students that have not graduated yet by the time they apply? Or do we have to graduate, get the degree, wait for a semester, then apply? Also, what other Biotech Masters have you applied to? I really like NEU but just in case I couldn’t get in, are there any other good suggestions? Finally, overall, any tips for choosing or applying for a biotech master? Thanks~
Hello, yes you can apply in your last semester to Northeastern University by getting a provisional degree from your college. Once you get the acceptance letter and decide to join the course, you can show the original degree when you get it. You don't have to wait for a semester. I only applied for MS in Biotechnology courses in the US. I didn't apply to a lot of universities. I applied to University of San Francisco, Northeastern University and another university in Texas that I don't really remember. Hope this helps. Let me know if you have more questions
@@charuta appreciate your answers! If possible, I would definitely want to know more about the timeline of master application as a foreign (non-Us) student. For example, when did you start applying? When did you choose which offer you would take? Thank you!
@@SpriteSpriteSprite you start applying about 9 months before you plan to start a course. If you are planning Fall 2023 this is the right time to start looking at colleges and applying. There might be some applications for spring 2023
How do people live initially when they come to Northeastern? Do u live on-campus? How to look for rooms and people to live with before coming to Boston?
Mostly undergrads live on Campus. Grad students mainly live off campus, you can find roommates on Facebook groups and talk to them and look for an apartment together before coming to Boston. You can look for houses and apartments on video calls with brokers and you can find brokers contact numbers by searching on Google.
Hey Charuta - can tell me about my chances at Northeastern University for MS in CS. GRE-308, TOEFL-101, GPA-8.15, Work ex - 2.5 years at Product-based Company currently working at Udaan. Have won nation hackathon, smart India hackathon in 2018. Should I apply?
Hey, I can't really help you with this. I don't know what the university looks at while accepting students. I would say you can go ahead and apply and take your chances because Northeastern University has a really good co-op program.
Hey!! That was very informative. I have a question. I'm currently doing bsc in biotechnology in India which is a 3 year course so am I eligible for MS in biotechnology in Northeastern. Their website says you need a bachelor's degree but it's not specified whether it is 3 year or 4 year. As far as my knowledge they consider it to be 4 year for US students but I have no idea about international students. Please guide me
Hi Atharva, I had a Btech and Mtech degree before I applied to Northeastern University so I do not have an idea about if the 3 year degree works. The best course of action would be e-mailing Northern to confirm.
I hope this video helps you out. In case you have any questions, leave them in the comments below!

Is there any difference between Ms biotechnology or MPS in Biotechnology? Please let me know
Hi I don't know what MPS means, but a quick Google search could give you the answer!
what is the total expense for MIS at northeastern
I don't know about MIS, it should be similar to what I mentioned.
