The best part of the contest is hearing the stories of going to gigs. They’re the best times. Hard to argue the resurrection choices, and IMHO Gates of Babylon is RJD’s greatest vocal performance ever. Amazing.

Man, the travel for that Iron Maiden gig seems like a nightmare! I'm spoiled; I live 2-3 hours from either Detroit or Chicago, so most tours stop at one or the other. I just saw Maiden for the first time in 2022. They are one of those bands I always thought "I'll catch them next time", but finally I woke up and realized none of us are getting any younger. Very glad I finally did! Cool stories and entry, good luck in the draw, Sean!
Some great answers there Sean. Yeah Cliff left a very short but flawless legacy and yeah it would have been interesting to see what sort of career he would have had. Some good gig stories, always enjoyable to hear people's experiences and yeah Twickenham isn't the easiest stadium to get transport from.
Awesome Seven Doors shirt! Great call on Clive Burr. I prefer his drumming over Nikko's. I'll have to check out Phantom Blue. Was really bummed about Dio. Would have loved to hear another Heaven and Hell release. Nice to hear that your 25-hour trip was worth it! Really cool that you got to meet a bunch of the VC. I need to pick up that Malediction EP. Class vid and entry to Trev's contest Sean! Clive Burr was a major talent, I remember the buzz around him starting the band Desperado with Dee Snider and Bernie Torme, watta line up! Never got off the ground tho but recordings did eventually come out years later. Great gig stories Mr Beast. Good luck chum!
Great entry Sean! It would have been interesting to see what Maiden could have done with Clive Burr still in the band, and Di'anno for that matter! Most entries I've seen picked Cliff Burton, he woukd have changed that band so much! Some great gig stores, really enjoyed hearing them! I've only seen Iron Maiden once and I hope I'll get to see them one more time. Hope that smelly guy who got off at Leeds wasn't Kris Green Sabre! 😂😂😂 Best of luck in the draw mate 😊🤘🏻
