Peppermint essential oil keeps a lot of bugs away. I am not a fan of bugs myself. Highly recommended for flying insects too and a plug in anti bug sonic helps too. All bugs hate them.
Fun fact! The cranberry bogs aren't full of water the whole time, they're flooded when it's time for the harvest, and the reason there are so many spiders are because they're fleeing the additional water! I went cranberry picking in North Bay in an unflooded cranberry bog, and there wasn't a single spider to be seen on me! Unless you're taking part in a large commercial harvest, I don't think the spiders will be as big of an issue! :)

I recently moved back in April. I’ve never seen a house centipede until my family moved houses and let me tell you the first time I saw one I SCREAMED. They’re so creepy 😭 we moved into an older house from I think the 80s so we were under a lot of construction. It was dusty so my dad put a towel under my bedroom door and one day I moved it and one of this centipedes scurried out from it so fast😭 now I’m in the basement which we made into an apartment and I’m PRAYING I don’t see them often
