Slowly working my way through the content I missed for a few weeks. This video came to mind today as I made a purchasing decision. I bought a TYM3515hc Cab tractor with 3rd function, grapple, 6’ brush hog, and 5’ box blade, and a bigger 20’ 14k gross trailer and having it all shipped 920 miles and the tractor’s tires loaded. Financing 46k for all of it. This video reminds me of a fresh maintenance start on new equipment and that I’m going to start using a written log book for each piece now to keep track better. Also just keep shaking my head that I’m getting all of that new for $10k less than a 3039r with a cab and nothing else. Going to open up my jobs quite a bit.
That’s awesome to hear! And a new trailer? That’s just awesome! That’s a lot of value for the money. A cab is going to be great. You’re going to have to start chasing jobs now lol. Which means more tractor time! Yes a maintenance log book is crucial for sanity. Most PTO implements have gear boxes that need oil. Even after scheduled maintenance on a log book, make sure to do your daily checks. Let me know when it shows up and you get some seat time on it. I’m interested to hear! Cheers 🍻
@@BulldogTractor Thanks, will do. I have used a dry erase board until now for my 1025r and implements’ maintenance tracking, but adding more means adapting documentation, not to mention stocking more filters and fluids. Not sure about you, but I like to have everything for the next servicing on the shelf when I’m getting one servicing knocked out. Yeah the value is just too good not to pull the trigger. Especially when my whole area is covered in fallen trees and I’m sure clearing that stuff and grinding stumps will be plentiful for a year or two. Definitely going to start chasing brush hogging and driveway refreshes too. I’ll hit the ground running when it shows up for sure. Just a no brainer when I know I can sell 1 trailer and a lot of equipment without impacting much performance if I’m not able to be as busy as I want. It’s a blessing to build slow and carry as little debt as possible. Keeps options available.
Thanx for taking the time to post this video!!! I plan on purchasing a Shearex forestry mulcher before the end of the year!!!
Great to hear! The SHEAREX is top quality. Cheers from the Bulldog 🍻
I bought one a couple weeks ago. Im very pleased with it.
I only have this season on it. I am pleasantly impressed!
