I think if you know how to read Qur'an with proper Tajweed Rules reading with reciter isn't problem. The problem comes when you don't know how to read and you memorize it from the tape directly. I have seen people who memorized some Ayahs in a wrong way and when they tried to correct them it was very difficult to get rid of their mistakes.

The issue is beyond that. Memorising and Murajah with a reciter will make you lose the picture/visualization that you should have when you're reciting the Qur'an. You should be seeing the page in your mind, but instead, you'll be forced to follow the reciter in your mind. Instead of visualising the Mushaf, you'll imaginatively hear the reciter in your head. And that will make it hard for you to go back when you've made a mistake. You'll be molded in the voice of the reciter and many more disadvantages. Your memorization will totally depend on the reciter.
I'm speaking from experience. Right now, I'm trying to get back my old Murajah right now and it's a tough struggle. I'll advise you to not go down that path.

Actually, by following your 3x3 method, I discovered that not only did I learn faster quraan but I also enjoy it more ! I feel much more secure listening to my recitation because when I was trying to learn, I also learned to let my voice out. That’s so gratifying ! Before that, I always needed to hear the reciter then repeat after him, then without him so my voice was excluded from the formula. Now, by reading and doing tajweed while beautifying my voice I am involving 4 of my senses ! Hearing, seeing, speaking and touching the quraan ( by following the letters with my finger ) This is spectacular ! Thanks you so much you have changed my way of learning quraan and my relationship with it. BarakAllahou fikoum 😁

Tajweed and rythm are different - bad habits in tajweed specially reciting like reciters MAY sticks with you for life .. I have seen people being corrected on surah IKHLAS after completing memorization of the Quran .. May Allah protect us and make the quran a light for our heart ..

I disagree. I'm learning and memorizing the Holy Qur'an from a reciter because I do not have anyone to teach me, so I listen to his recitation and then follow. Alhamdulillah I'm learning with tajweed and mahkarij because he is one of the best when it comes to tajweed and mahkarij and he takes his own time to read without rushing. His name is Sheikh Ali Abdul- Rahman Al- Huthaify. Following a reciter doesn't mean that you cannot have your own voice, I'm following him and I don't even know how to read with his voice, I have my own voice, so I only listen to him to get a proper recitation and a very good tajweed and mahkarij. The reciter voice that I imitate is Sheikh Abubakar Al- Shatri because I started imitating him before I started learning the Qur'an with tajweed and mahkarij, but I do not learn tajweed and mahkarij from him because I prefer Sheikh Huthaify when it comes to tajweed and mahkarij.

I'm sorry, you lost me at Malcolm Gladwell. Also, you're using a lexicon with which I'm unfamiliar -- '3x3" for example. What does that mean? Anyway, my first Tajweed teacher suggested that I listen to Sheikh Abdullah Basfar (because of his precision) and Ibrahim Akhdar for the same reason. I "follow" no one but the Rasulullah (saw) but I listen to the recitation of those who are said to be the most accurate. I've learned that beautiful voices are wonderful, but if they make mistakes-- they are only singing.

"I've learned that beautiful voices are wonderful, but if they make mistakes-- they are only singing." subhanallah. So, function over aesthetics. Better to recite and not make any mistakes than not to recite with making mistakes (*recite regardless, mistakes or not, but be sure to correct yourself if mistakes do happen. My point here is to make steps in preventing mistakes, if by beautifying adds mor mistakes in which you can't make changes for there not to be mistakes, you'd rather recite without beautfying it and Allah knows best) all because you're making it more aesthetic and Allah knows best I think we should beautify but not in the expense of making mistakes.

I am trying to fix my rhythm of recitation. I am studying Arabic at the moment and as the text is starting to come to live; that’s I am beginning to understand a little more of what I am reading without having to look at my word for word translation. I want to incorporate that in my recitation. Meaning I want to recite with punctuation marks and emotions taken into consideration instead of just reciting everything in a flat monotonous voice. But I am having very hard time try to do that and keep a rhythm of some sort. Any advice on how to find a rhythm and stick to it???

An important distinction: don’t recite with the imam AT ALL during prayer. But if it’s out of prayer then it’s okay. Allah says in the Quran: “So, when the Quran is recited, listen to it, and be silent that you may receive mercy” [al-A‘raaf 7:204]
And our beloved messenger ﷺ said in this hadeeth:
Abu Dawood (823) narrated that ‘Ubaadah ibn as-Saamit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We were behind the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in Fajr prayer. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) recited, and he found it difficult to recite (due to interference). When he finished praying he said: “Perhaps you were reciting behind your imam?” We said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah. He said: “Do not do that, apart from the Opening of the Book (al-Faatihah), because there is no prayer for the one who does not recite it.”

you should listen to the Quran in the proper way and listen to the pronunciation correctly, our brains are amazing at remembering how things sound and when you read it again you can recall how they said it. The Quran requires recitation and the Arabic language is complex. Even Allah tells his prophet to (Atlo 3alihim il koran) to recite his book to the people. When you are not a native Arab then how else would you know how to recite. I'm baffled by these words.

    As Salamu Alaikum. Maasha Allah.
The first verse of Al Fatihah is Bismillah, but we talk to ourself with the first verse. Therefore we say it silently.
Alhamdu Lillahi is the second verse and when we start talking to Allah SWT.
And the Book is in two parts as Allah SWT says:
And indeed, We have bestowed upon you seven of Al-Mathani (seven repeatedly recited Verses), (i.e. Surat Al-Fatihah) and the Grand Qur'an. 15: 87.
So we recite Al Fatihah with Imam in salah and with anyone reciting it but not the Quran as Allah SWT commands us not to:
So, when the Qur'an is recited, listen to it, and be silent that you may receive mercy. [i.e. during the compulsory congregational prayers when the Imam (of a mosque) is leading the prayer (except Surat Al-Fatihah), and also when he is delivering the Friday-prayer Khutbah].
    (Tafsir At-Tabari).7: 204.

Quite confusing. If you're trying to say that a person should first learn Tajweed, like here in Pakistan, from understanding جمال القرآن or خلاصة التجويد or مقدمة الجزيرة، then copy an arab reciter, you're then just talking about common sense among memorizers (huffaaz) of the Quran in Pakistan. This video could've been shorter.

    • @khanceptbelal
      @khanceptbelal 3 роки тому

Except vast majority of folks watching this and those who are enrolled within Quran revolution are not from Pakistan, but from UK, USA, EU, and Canada. Their only real exposure or hifdh and tajweed is famous reciters.
