"Does perception of beauty affect women's careers?" - my AQA A-Level EPQ presentation

- i initially thought against uploading this but i thought this was be quite useful for anyone who chooses to undertake the EPQ. my EPQ was to discover on whether or not perception of beauty would affect the academic or career prospects of women. beauty is a topic i'd always been passionate in and it has always affected me growing up. the completion of this project was very fulfilling to me, it hit very close to home and i would have loved it if i had more time and opportunity to get into more detail about my project. regardless, i hope you get something out of this!

@@zaraleary9308 if you don’t mind me asking and (and if you still remember 😂) was it just the teachers asking you questions or was it also the students too?
@@unkhowncow6446 I finished my EPQ in 2021, so my college made the presentations virtual because of COVID. But from what I remember, on the zoom call it was my EPQ supervisor, assessor and my head of English (as my essay was on Shakespeare). I think had i done it in front of a class, there would have been an opportunity for students to ask questions. If you like, I reckon you could ask a couple of friends in the class to ask you specific questions, which you can pre-plan the answers to and it can boost your grade! Other than that i would highly recommend making a powerpoint presentation with minimal writing but photo/image prompts, and having que cards. Hope this helps! x

I’m struggling with mine I have my presentation on Monday on knife crime , I have to do it online now because of lockdown and I feel like it’s not really a presentation but more a report 😭😭 I really want an A* any advice U can give ? X
is it worth doing an epq? or nah
@@bobbyfedksk8095 only if you think your universities will lower the grade requirements, past this point there is not much result in putting in all the time for it when you can be focusing on your a levels instead.

@@bobbyfedksk8095 I think it is because unis reduce offers and u get to learn skills for university but I think if you are still in lockdown when you have to pick it Don’t because it is really difficult to motivate yourself and keep it up during lockdown x

@@officiallynats7044 in regards to formatting make sure the text on your presentation is concise and not overwhelming! you don't want your audience to look at the slides more than they are listening to you. save your really important points for actually speaking it out and just use some key words and phrases for the slides. try to limit distracting images and use clear fonts. best of luck!

Soljaboi Dunkon’eeem hey it’s not cool to discourage someone’s hard work - there are so many components that go into the EP & her presentation is clearly very strong.
Soljaboi Dunkon’eeem 50/50 wasn’t for the presentation alone, it was also involving the candidate record form which is 20 pages long and a 6000 word dissertation. you also had to include a research log encapsulating the whole process and mine was 60 pages long. you also had to have a bibliography and form your own objectives, arguments, rationale, research, and conclusion. hope this clarifies the situation and if you’re gonna do your epq soon, good luck!
