Bell Super Air R Review - Things To Know Before You Buy

- A quick mid term review of the Bell Super Air R. After spending a month with this full face convertible helmet i’d say that it is a winner if you are looking for a light weight MTB trail helmet that offers a bit more protection. This is the bigger brother of the Bell Super 3 R and arguably a better helmet and possibly the best mtb helmet 2020.
The convertible mountain bike helmet is the perfect helmet for beginner mountain bikers who aren’t sending downhill park or massive gravity lines. This helmet caters to a plethora of trail riding styles and it’s the lightest MTB helmet on the market.
Aloha.

Chivz thanks, what a stupid idea to have so long unrelated intro to such a short vlog.
u got kinda the same pfp as me
More like 6:00
I've had this helmet for almost a year. I normally ride the half shell for local trails and full face for everything else. Had a couple big crashes (in halfshell and full face) and its held up brilliantly, not even a scratch. Its insanely light too, and the attatchment mechanism is easy to get used to after a dozen times
Highly recommend
Let's get right into it.... 1 minute 23 seconds later.... he mentions the helmet
UA-camr starter pack, colored led background, and a Peter McKinnon coffee B-Roll opener.... 😬
Far from the Typical YT sellout
at the start, you talk about coffee for 2:12. why.
Just to piss you off..
Dude your content has come a long way. Loving the new look.
Thanks for being part of it! 🤙
Your Own Adventure d
Jesus dude you spent two minutes making coffee and 3 minutes about some dumb ass mount, all while blasting piano into my ears.
You're welcome!
What size did you end up ordering? Did you measure your head and stuff lol, or did you have a chance to try it on before you bought it?
I have the 3R The system that tightens around your head loosens really easily and would definitely loosen in a crash, is it suppose to do that?! And is this thing actually good for mountain biking?! There’s no padding, and the helmet seems really thin! I’m mainly going to use this for fast biking around the city and hill Bombing would it hold up to a good crack of the head on the concrete?!?
Super Air R:
Ive had a few big crashes. One where I was in full face and smashed it against sand, then bounced into a rock. No damage whatsoever, and I was fine afyer a dust off. The other one i went OTB on a jump and smacked it into the dirt in halfshell mode. Fine again, me and the helmet. Just make sure all straps are tight before you set off
16 seconds while leaving it on your head doesn't seem too difficult.
Just ordered one of these and I was so disappointed to find out that they discontinued the white/blue/pink colorway, couldn't find one anywhere, even eBay
Oh no! I'll have to limit my use with this thing. Wont be hard here in FL...
What size did you grab if you don't mind me asking?
This is a Large
I like the music.
Would you trust this helmet at a dh park like whistler?
I think their super DH has those certifications
Is the visor removable?
I don't think so. No mention of it from Bell and I tried removing it but felt like it was fixed permanently so I didn't push it.
Your Own Adventure that kinda sucks, it would look like a bell moto 3 if it came off
@@gbrldz0 I see the similarity. I'm sure it could be removed...with some force 😂
@@gbrldz0 I crashed and my visor popped off on one side and then I just clipped and back in and it seemed fine so I think you can take it off. This probably doesn’t help 8 month later.
Joe Saunders very helpful!
Screw the helmet, review that portable espresso maker. 🤪
You'll be seeing much more of that sort of thing soon.
@@YourOwnAdventure cool. I like those helmets. I wish I could wear them tho. It restricts my movement. Great job on the video. Making big moves in 2020 bro. I like
That whole coffee intro cost you a dislike..🤦♂️
I think this would be a great video if you would try to get yo the point. You tend to keep saying the same thing over and over. Nice video quality. Just cut it down to 5 minutes would be my take. Otherwise, great job.
You waist my time
Sounds like a YoU problem.
If you ride motorcycles, you would never buy a Bell Helmet, they are notoriously cheaply made.
Nice. I've never really thought about it while riding a motorcycle but I can understand that.
@@YourOwnAdventure I should have clarified, "I" wouldn't buy a Bell, lol. Helmets are one thing I don't go cheap on.
They also make helmets for Formula 1, so I think it's unfair to compare their products between the different sports.
Bullshit
Obviously you don’t know about motocross then 🙄
