Improvisation ideas Jazz ukulele (à la "All of me") on Peter Geerdts Soprano

I did some clips on improvisational playing on ukulele. It is not strictly meant to be an instruction video but an idea one.
I just improvised a bit and tried to talk a bit about what I did.
Stepping into improvisation can be as easy or complex as you like. A good approach is to learn the tune's melody and chords and then play the melody a bit more freely or modified/simplified.
Listening to various players also trains and opens the ears.
A good teacher for Jazz playing on ukulele is Christopher Davis-Shannon f.e.
I like to listen to Herb Ohta-San's music a lot but also had a longer Jazz and fusion Phase in ny late teenage and twenties...

Mhm, eine neue Herausforderung. Sieht jetzt aber auch nicht so schwer aus. Also die Töne eines Akkordes einzeln zupfen, dabei möglichst der Melodie folgen. So in etwa?

Ja, das könnte zumindest ein Ansatz zum Üben und festigen der Akkordtöne sein. Mindestens hilft es, das Griffbrett besser kennenzulernen und auch fördert es das Hören der Akkordwechsel. Spannend sind dann später all jene Töne, die nicht im strengen Sinne zum Akkord gehören ;)
