I love how if from "story" perspective, this vid implies Johnny Silverhand just had a random idea to explore the city instead of hoping on the helicopter while Rogue is screaming at him to return lol
Ima assume that Johnny and V’s memories are colliding with each other that while we’re able to see Johnny’s perspective of Night City, we’re also seeing V’s perspective.
@@ramiztaghiyevyou’re right that the devs didn’t have time to create a 2023 NC but also had no intention for the player to explore it. But it’s not head canon to say Johnny and V’s memories and personality are colliding and mixing together. Hellman tells V that it’s odd he can see Johnny and that this is a not split personality scenario and that he is both himself and Johnny at the same time. Johnny himself will tell V this in the devil ending. Lastly V tells Johnny when he first meets him that he doesn’t smoke and if you wait to do Judy’s quest to find Evelyn till late game after you rescue her a time jump happens and V will be smoking on the fire escape. Johnny will ask him when he started and V says he always smokes to relax and Johnny looks at him with concern cause he knows that’s not true for V
@Edmitsu damn , that's interesting I think for the megabuildings or any buildings, in fact, i think they would've added some "glitchy" effect to emphasize that this obgect are out of place or something like this. Edit: The last point is really interesting. It's like Johnny's mind overrides V's , i doubt the other way around But like this overriding happens over time Considering flashback happened right after V got shot in the beginning I dont think much time passed to start this process idk
I wonder if people want to see NC expanded for the next CP game, or if they want a whole new location. Both options really intrigue me, it would be great to see more of the cyberpunk world outside NC, but NC also still has so much potential
As much as I would love to see new locations, I think that Night City and the Badlands haven't been fully explored. They will probably expand the map a lot more in the sequel before going to a new location.
Should have tried during the atlantis scene when youre driivng around there. If you visit that area after Johnny's flashback youll find a tamayura from the Arasaka agents Johnny fought.
I'm sure you're aware that the club Johnny plays at is actually still present in NC 2077, boarded up in Westbrook/Japantown. So the MB should be whichever one is closest. (the one with Clouds I guess?)
Imagine if when you walked into V's apartment you see V sleeping and you lean against the window and the playing for time sequence begins from Johnny perspective
@@britneypattinson123 I suppose you can simulate this by having a friend play the game, whilst you occasionally give some cynical anti-corpo rockstar spiel xD
this really makes me wish for a mod that force loads locations so you can freely explore stuff like this or cyberspace without having to actual be there in the story.
i kinda dislike the fact they didn't do enough to make it feel like it's 54 years before 2077, like with how they have the same ads, same vehicles, weapons that wouldn't exist then and same architecture. i get that they probably had time constraints and that a background for a flashback probably wasn't a big focus but it would've been cool to see more older tech in the flashbacks
The flight from the club up to the Arasaka building isn't bad, they changed a lot of the signs to make it look different. They also made the area the helicopter takes off from and the rock club look far less cyberpunk and more turn of the century. You really notice it's the same city in the second flashback in the club and the ensuring fight into the city outside
Haha, i did comment on your other video to say what the area with the big hole in the badlands was there for :D That area being loaded in for one section of story is pretty nuts, i wonder why there is a hole in the ground there, though...
one thing you forgot is thatin the first silverhand flashback mission if you clip behind the door where you spawn, you will see weird bouncing cubes behind them. for a moment when you looked down from inside of a building it was shown in this video but you didn't seem to notice it. I tried to figure out what the hell those cubes are but sadly the lighting is buggy if you go inside that space and everything falls into complete darkness in seconds.
Yeah I did notice these and checked them out in the unedited video. But you’re right they don’t seem to be anything, my guess is maybe when you’re trying to find Johnny in that digital recreation of the arasaka lobby?
@@SirMZK I used noclip once at that part of the story and if I recall it correctly that place is inside of the arasaka hq and just a shader is used to give that weird matrix look. or maybe it's inside of the fake 2023 arasaka hq shown in this video.
I kind of figured it wasn't going to be accurate to the 2020 books for two reasons: 1. Arasaka Tower uses the same model as in 2077. 2. 2020 Night City isn't fully mapped in the books, just part of City Center.
Hey MZK, can you explore in and around the militech bunker from the mission somewhat damaged in PL, its one of the coolest locations in game and we never get a chance to explore it without the blackwall bot chasing us.
Johnny: "I'm so broke I can't even afford a god damn snack out of a vending machine"
Also Johnny: "Maybe I'll plant a fucking nuke in arasaka's tower"

Feels weirdly in character.
It’s strange that Megabuildings exist in 2023 though. I chalk it up to game dev, but in lore they weren’t made until after the Time of Red.

But its more plausible devs put them there as a placeholder but never removed
But its hard to tell

They could do both night city and Chicago since there's gonna be a rail line between the two
