They are both great cars but if an F1 driver was driving them on this course the M3 would be miles ahead !,.. I've had both . Chassis is 10x better on the BMW , and that is why it will go down as a "True Classic" .. shit I forgot about the 3999cc NORMALLY ASPIRATED ENGINE !!! THAT PRODUCES 420 bhp !! ... cars do not get any better !
The BMW driver was more conservative and less experienced. Early braking into a corner and braking mid corner, also taking a slower and tighter line around the circuit. He should of yielded. The AMG driver had the transmission in S mode and not M mode and didn't use the paddle shifter to change gears. He was also more comfortable and confident in his car and abilities due to running on the ripple strips though the corners and letting the car oversteer through a few turns. Both great cars

Let´s conclude, the BMW is for the track, his advantages are the awesome handling and the grip to drive fast around corners, the Mercedes is more like an muscle car, it has much more horsepower and beats the BMW easily in drag racing. Finished.

So Mercedes AMG need 6.3 liter or 5.5 supercharged to put up with a 4.4 Natural Aspirated BMW M3 ? Or an AMG 55 or AMG 32 supercharged to put up with an M3 e46 3.2 liter Natural Aspirated? What if BMW made a 6.3 ? Mercedes needs 50% more than BMW has to put up with? Handling is no comparison is it? Mercedes goes on straight line and bun rubber in the corners but no handling ??? I am the driver of the AMG and now I sold it and bought the m3 v8 I agree with those who write that they are both good cars, but the AMG is much faster on the straight line, the BMW is more suitable for the track. you can see in my channel also my video with the m3 nurburgring
good driver , but a very cautious one too . as an owner of a c63 AMG from the acceleration he didnt floor it at all .. the M3 was always in the way and made him slow down , i raced with alot of M3's sorry not that fast . but the M5's are awesome :D
Well in the end it depends on the drivers balls and skills. I'm sure the M3 is fast on the corners, but it requires quite a lot of balls to brake so late and turn in so hard with such a car, even when it's a greatly balanced car. The C63 is faster on straights, I believe.

*That driver was slow* didn't you see how he was braking through 90 percent of the track? He wasn't using the car efficiently at all. Also, there was around a 1 second delay between when the driver of the AMG told the car to switch gears, and when it actually did, M3 (with DCT) changes the instant you press the paddles as long as you have it in M Mode. The AMG is more like a nice muscle car, while the M3 is a jack of all trades that has been honed in for the track

they are both great cars, and yes the M3 is more race-oriented than the Merc, but in order to use that advantage you have to be a very good driver..in normal conditions, 2 normal drivers, Merc had more than once the chance to overtake the M3, again because the real difference between these 2 cars is when you take them to the limit and most owners don't even get close to it..

Unless your driving a semi-truck a stick doesn't actually take any more skill to drive around a track so not sure why everyone still thinks it somehow means your a much more skilled driver. I drive an STI and it's not exactly a challenge even with a stage 3 racing clutch and its just as easy as driving an auto to me. Skill on this course is driving lines, managing corner after corner and knowing when to brake and deal with traffic...not how many times you press a clutch pedal.

I love BMW M3 very much ! but with respect to the C63 , its a very comfortable car(I've been in one). C63 is more like a day to day express. M3s are better when U drive on a track occasionally . plz don't be so serious with the weight, driving skills or power all sorts.... if its the car U like , then take it !

A standard M3 owner and a standard C63 owner will not be able to drive either car close to the potential, so for the M3 to be any faster on the track is a complete assumption unless you put Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen in both cars and sent them off to race. Second off like I said, if some one is going to buy one of these cars to track they will not stay stock and it is proven that a C Class w204 chassi is a better track chassi then the E90.
having a c63 like this one i can tell you on a big track there evenly matched, maybe even better for the c63. small short tracks with lots off turns favourites the bmw, and not because nessasarly better turning car its just the big 6.2 dosent get a chance to open up and let it rip/gallop bmw is no fun on the roads anyway high redline and low TQ makes it too civil. remember is a V10 from the M5 with 2 less cylinders. shit the c63 is even detuned from the factory. both cars turned/chipped c63 for the win.
C63 = Boring gear box and just for sound... M3 V8 = Crazy DCT gearbox and crazy sound when upgraded....M3 FTW all day and everyday! Plus you get the sexiest bonnet on the M3, no other car has it! UNIQUE!

edobuga PP is the abbreviation for performance pack, on early C63's PP included stiffer suspension, 2 piece brake rotors, LSD and alcantara steering wheel. Interested to know if he is running the stiffer suspension 👍

Yes, its the Nurburgring (only one of the best tracks on the planet). You'll see tons of high performance cars and strong drivers on this track.
