I live near this place and it has officially reopened with a new owner. They have worked to get it back to the place everyone loves and remembers HOWEVER there is no longer a petting zoo (due to the animal abuse that took place)

Too real, I used to go here as a child with my grandmother and father. Seeing the merry-go-round knowing I’ve ridden a couple dozen times makes me feel old.

+Nee-san I am not sure if this is the Santa's Village in the Big Bear mountains where I live an hour away. That is in Southern California. It was popular all year long, even in the summer, due to the really hot weather down in the valley. Many people would go up there to just have a really nice day, and a whole day breathing fresh air. Better than breathing smog all of the time. I am telling you it was pretty popular all year long. I am so sad it closed.
LN skycountry it probably wouldn't be as popular where I am, I live in Canada and we got a shit Ton of trees and Forrest areas everywhere. Personally I wouldn't like to go there unless it's christmas

I used to go here as a kid every year in the '80s the late '80s and ride camels and it was so cool you can imagine the smell of the baked cookies from the Sweet shop it was amazing and it's since reopened in 2017 however they don't have the animals there anymore which was a big part of what was so cool about it

This is not called Santa's North Pole, it is actually called Santa's Land. It is a park in Puntey, Vermont. I know because I have explored this too and I have a video of it on my channel.

yea we have one in so cal that closed down around 98 to 2000 called santas village. i remember going to a rave there with like 9k other people called jujubeats 99. at the end of the party some kids on acid drove off the side of the mountain and the whole thing ended up on fox news. im sure if you youtube jujubeats 99 you can see videos about it!
Opal Emeraldz I think the animal cruelty alone was enough to get it shut down, but in addition to that, it became poorly maintained in recent years. If you want to hear the full story of why it was shut down then Google it, there are some news articles and police reports that go into a bit more detail.

I am going to be 50 this year and what has brought all these great places down is that kids today are only hook up on there iPhone, computer, and games. They do not know what they are missing. Here in New Orleans they still have Kidding Land in City Park. Everything is gone that was so much fun. So sad.

I used to work there many years ago! I did a bit of everything from running the train ride and kiddie rides that were there and taking care of all the animals this is in the early 90s and the park was beautiful it was a throw back in time there were people that had came to see Santa Claus there 4 Generations! That's not what Josh does, he does it has a passion. He stated in one of his videos about how he goes to collect footage and have history of the places he visits before it gets tore down. He also states that he doesn't steal anything nor resell them on line.

I was just here last weekend with my six-year-old son. He LOVED it. It could definitely use some more elbow grease and a few additional activities/features, but honestly, kids don't care about cosmetics so much, and they don't look for things to criticize. They love the feeling of being in a place geared for them. It was really cool watching your video and seeing how the park looked before it was purchased and reopened.
