This is a good review . because senesetivity of key touch is everything the rest is common and most reviewers miss to talk about key sensativity, he looks like a Piano Master and he said i have to learn Pioano.

Great review. Keyboard seems a little too geared to work with Ableton, which as a Logic user I don't really give a stuff about, but if I buy one of these, I'm paying for. So my search continues for a nice well-built 49 note MIDI controller with aftertouch to use with Logic.

i just bought the novation impulse 25 and its great! however if ur using ableton 9 theres some issues concerning the automap... it isnt working but weirdly everything works without it

In my search for a good keyboard controller I found most companies do not support what there selling. Email support is a poor representation of there company and may take days for a response. I will not purchase anything with out phone support.
Has anyone used this with Reason? I'm wondering what controller to buy and I hear there's issues with M-Audio's version of AutoMap so I won't be getting an Axiom. This looks a lot better tbh. Would appreciate it if anyone had any info, not much on the forums..
I've been using this with windows 8 so far and its been working pretty good. fast and easy to learn, Reason is the best program I used with this board on my opinion.
@mindstormsabrewin, While I can relate to that, as I as was once a beginner, I can also tell you that if all you want to do is be creative and that's it, well that's when you go to a professional studio that has an engineer and you pay him to do the things that you don't know how to do yet. Or, you could just start to learn how mixing is done and how the gear will help you to that end. There is no way you can do quality music at home without knowledge and the SL is perfectly designed for that.

anybody out there know if theyv'e updated automap4 to work with Cubase4.5.2 yet-I have cubase essential 4-5-2 and it is not recognized in automap 4 so i went back to using automap3.7 with my nocturn and it's fine but I want to buy an Impulse but don't want to update Cubase. I found Automap works seamlessly with no bugs and midi-maps for other stuff I created work perfectly

Well, from this review it looks the keybed makes a lot of noise.
The guy is not even pressing hard on the keys, and you hear a lot of clunky sound.

Yes, you can do that. The arpeggiator of the Impulse can be set to use internal MIDI clock, or external one.
