20 . The BIG day - She ain't heavy, she's my boaty - Our narrowboat home is craned onto a HGV

Welcome back to Buzzy's Boaty. Today is the day. The BIG day our narrowboat home is craned onto a HGV for transport to new waters. The tension and nerves are real and the excitement gets to me as always : ). Watch as our home is lifted on two thin straps and hung precariously while a HGV reverses under it. Then it's off up the M62 motorway to meet another crane, with more tension and frayed nerves narrowboat Tethys is placed gently onto new waters.
For those of you just stopping by for the first time, welcome onboard! We are Andrew, Karon and Isla (Puppy, well a 10-year-old GSD who thinks she is a cute little puppy). We have been dreaming, planning and saving for the past 6 years to have our own 57-foot narrowboat built. Narrowboat Tethys, an enclosed bow, cruiser stern narrowboat that is lined with the engine fitted ready for us to start fitting out our own dream boat. Join us on our epic journey as we fit her out and then cruise the wonderful UK canal and river network.
