Great to see you and the update on this clock. Question why not clean the spring in the ultrasonic first, also are you using a ultrasonic cleaner soulition made for clocks. I have used Zenith Solutions Ammonoiated 251 concentrate from Timesavers and it works great.
I got the solution from Timesavers, It's Called Magic Cast, seems to work well. I did the spring by hand to show an alternative method. I think the hand and pad method works great but never compared it to just the ultrasonic. Sometimes the thick dried residue on mainsprings is thicker than other parts because it could be dried grease as well as oil. I might try Zenith one of these days. Thanks! 😁
Great work mate, keep doing this interesting and relaxing videos
You made me buy one clock to start repairing hahah
Have a good one my friend

It was great to see you back at your clock repair. I was jealous when I saw those sleeves for the Spring Winder. God Bless and have a great one.
You pretty much need a full set of sleeves. Some of the barrel sizes are odd. 🤣
Hi Ab good to see you working on your clocks again, coming along nicely keep up the good work, take care
Thanks Paul, slowly getting back to it. 🤣🤣
Hi Ab , It's coming along nicely .A good tip there about not going too close to the dial back when cleaning.
Cheers mate , Bram
Thanks, Bram! I'm really cautious around the dial, I'm so scared of ruining something. 🤣🤣
Hello Ab, another great video from you. I hope you continue to enjoy your interesting work. All the best and stay healthy. Best wishes, Werner!
Thank you Werner! It is the hot summer now and your great Austrian Beer sounds good right now! 🤣🍺
