Thanks for the great videos guys. I’ve been using anchovy helmets for 20 years, this is the first time I’ve seen a bobber stop knot used for the tension. Great upgrade!

I have been using these for a few years now, good video. Here is how I use them.
Trinidad tackle makes the anchovy heads. They come just the bare head or with a wire to insert along the spine down the length of the bait. The ones with the wire are a pain to rig and take some extra time.
I use the size large silicon bobber stops that slide off a wire. I bought 600 the other day for just a few bucks. Work much better than the bobber stop knots for a cleaner presentation
Solid tie your rig with a 2 or 2 1/2 inch spacing between knots. The bobber stop goes directly above the hooks then slide the anchovy head down. Much easier and quicker to change out leaders that way.
As shown don't use larger than a 3/0 hook. 1/0 or 2/0 work fine bonus if you use fine wire hooks.
You will lose the red pin so carry round toothpicks.

Good tip on the bobber stop. Haven’t used that. How bout a video showing the slip tie mooching rig? I’ve been using the gamu pre tied slip rigs and I’m over them. Lost too many fish due to them this year!

Great, useful information. I have fished the Columbia many times but recently started fishing a little closer to home in North Idaho on Lake Coeur D'Alene for landlocked Chinook. I am curious as to what type line and test rating you're using to put these rigs together. Any help and suggestions are appreciated.

The leader can go thru the tip of the red peg before re-entering back into helmet so you don't lose them.

Two questions, do you use a dodger or other type of atractor and how fast would you troll this?
Option 1st Life I just started using them this summer. They kill! You don’t need a dodger with these because they creat their own action. I just used the diver. It depends on the type of salmon for speed. Kings tend to like a slower troll than silvers.
