I dont understand why he isnt more mainstream yet.... Ron Pope is straight up incredible!
I know your post is fairly aged now. But I had to reply. I really feel like its a good thing that his music hasn't turned "mainstream". Maybe it keeps him humble. His music will stay on the same path. And he will stay true to his style. It also makes his music more enjoyable because it won't be overplayed on the radio.

People love listening to these kind of songs, yet pop still continues to dominate the music charts. I am patiently awaiting for the time where pop music is 'dethroned' and these kind of music reign the world.
Music isn't just based off of complexity, it's really about how it makes you feel. Relating to the lyrics, finding a meaning to them that applies to your own life, and simply coming from the heart-that's what it's about.

Ron Pope is 100% talent, every artist should take some notes. He's humble, soft, expressive, caring, sane, his fame doesn't seem to indulge him. HE'S FANTASTIC. I would love to have lunch with him one day and see what his music and he is about.

With my career in CA & his life in KY, it was hard but we had these songs to remind us the distance was worth it & we'd be together. When I hear these songs, I think about the long nights without each other & how we got to here, a wonderful marriage of almost 2 years here in KY. Thank you for these songs ♥

When I heard this, it made me remember a lot of things. Some are awfully bad and some were good memories. Arggh, some songs just break your heart yet they make you feel complete with all the memories they make you remember.
Honestly, though, Ron IS popular. But, he's popular by those who actually appreciate his music. He doesn't have flocks of tasteless sheep following him because it's "cool" or "in" or "catchy."
