Microscopic life collected on the A14 informal networking picnic at Nobles field river bank

Samples taken during the picnic stop at Nobles Field St Ives, Cambridgeshire, on 06 August 2021, part of the A14 informal Netwrking Group outing with . I collected a partly decaying water lily leaf from the banks of the river Great Ouse and kept damp in a paper cup till I got home. The leaf surface was repeatedly rinsed with the remnant of river water using a pipette and a few drops of the debris mounted on a microscope slide and covered with a slip.
