Great vlog I enjoyed a different video. I hope everyone is feeling better. Love your finish so adorable gingerbread boy. Enjoyed seeing everyone’s beautiful stitching. Have a wonderful Friday and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩 Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I love working with perforated paper. You can get stretcher bars in tons of different lengths. Assemble one custom to your piece and put tacks around the edges. A second option I do is if I’m using the full sheet of paper is this: I went to Michael’s and purchased a pack of cheap 9x13” stretched canvases. I took the canvas off the frames, and tacked the full sheet to the frames… instant “hoop”!!
Fun video! Easy to watch/listen to while I stitched. Mill Hill kits are fun. You don't have to do them on paper if you don't want to. I use compression gloves when I stitch for a long time to help with cramping in my hands. Sometimes I just wear one on the hand that holds the work.
I really enjoyed this video and look forward to more. I have never stitched on perforated paper but I did see a stitcher who used a square wooden frame with magnets on it and attached the perforated paper to that with magnets
Great video. I like the blog style. I stitched a few Mill Hill kits many years ago. I purchased a few more kits a year or so ago to stitch as gifts. I always kept my beads in a small margarine container with a lid. Since the beads are mixed in the kit, it doesn't matter to me that they are mixed in my container. I took a beading class this past summer, and the instructor gave us a little triangle shaped metal tray to use to pour our beads into. They are very shallow and it is pretty easy to spear the beads. I purchased one at an art supply store. I found them online at Amazon and Michael's. The brand is Beadsmith Magical Bead Tray. ❤️😄🪡 Did I mention that mice do not like the smell of peppermint? Cotton balls soaked with peppermint oil located around your totes should keep them away. You probably need to add peppermint oil or change the cotton balls monthly.
Hello Becca, hope you are doing well. What a nice vlog style love it. When I stitch on perforated paper I take masking tape and attach the perforated paper to a Framing mat board. I hope you soon get your test results so you can get treatment if needed so you can feel better. Its very hard when are children move away, sending hugs.
Happy Thanksgiving. Yes I thought the Vlog style was pretty neat. Holidays are hard without the loved ones we are used to having around. I got used to it since Covid changed how we celebrate. My MIL passed away in August and many of my relatives are out of town. Grace for everyone.....
For the beads I use from Amazon an Anti-Slip Tools Sticky Mat for Diamond Painting Sticky Gel Pad. For your perforated paper I have seen others use a soft balsa wood frame then thumb tack the paper to it. Vlog was great!
GARON has a stitchy container for beads and it is in a cd case so easy to take with you just leave your beads on it and go. Bead Bob may be the name of it. Like your little up dates.
Just something that I have used for doing Mill Hill beading is a tacky Bob..which I think has changed to a tacky Bill. It's a sticky pad that it is in like a CD case. I have stitched many for kids and grandkids Christmas ornaments. It works great for me. I originally bought it at 123 stitch. Hope you can find one.
Hi Becca! Hope you, Darren, and Brie had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I really like using the beading case that GaRon has. It holds the beads securely but they are easy to pick up with a needle. My favorite beading needle is a 10 short by John James. There are stretcher bars that you can put the Mill Hill kits on but I don't like them even though my hands cramp up from holding the perforated paper. I agree with you about separating the threads. To me the very least Mill Hill could do is indicate the number of strands of each color since a lot of times, what they call a color is not what I would call a color. I have heard that they are made with DMC floss and if you have the card with the actual thread on it, it is the easiest way to separate the floss. First holidays without your kids are the worst. I remember how I felt the first year Kristal moved to Texas and wasn't home for the holidays. I was miserable and emotional. Thanks for the vlog style try. I enjoy either way you do a floss tube so whichever way is best for you is the way you should do them. Take care and praying for good test results for you. Happy stitching.
I actually brought it with me to a stitchy get together yesterday. It works great on the go..the only annoying part is that it doesn’t “fold up” to be compact for traveling. I can do a short video on it in my next vlog update. 💜
Love your finish and your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Thank you! 💜

I use a tacky bob for my beading and I also use a size 28 tapestry needle to bead.
I ordered a tacky bill from 123stitch. Excited to use it! 💜💜
Can you tell me how you like the viulux light. I have the magnifier.
