In reality it makes much more strategic sense to just let the Germans go ahead build the Ratte in peace. A tank that big and heavy would be totally impractical in warfare, and would soak up massive amounts of men and resources to produce and operate.

It whould take one bombing raid and the Ratte is no more, easy to hit a tank the size of an appartment complex out in the desert, and don't get me started on the delivery to Europe from Africa, the thing whould probably get sunk or blown up on the way.
