One of the absolute legendary moments in Montreux❤❤❤
Even low quality video displays the amazing complicity between Monty and the 2 John's...
Monty at his best!
Monty Alexander ...a phenomenal pianist for the last 45 years ....can't get enough of his emotional and perfect piano 🎹 play . Moreover super sympathic at this concert ( even Jeff Hamilton and Mr. Clayton on the bass ) . An audiophile must for any reason and condition in listening to music ❤
Thanks for uploading this! It disappeared from UA-cam awhile ago & it's great to see it back.
Monty Alexander - piano
John Clayton - bass
Jeff Hamilton - drums
I believe he's still playing with the same trio to this day!
No he does not...John Clayton and Jeff Hamilton have now been with Diana Krall for well over a decade
This is Monty at his absolute best and arguably the best trio he's ever had. I know Montreux Festival video tape every performance, so hopefully the whole concert will be released one day.
This is my favorite jazz album of all time. I had no idea this was filmed, too! Oh man THANK YOU!!! Saving immediately.
I know this album by heart, it's my favorite Monty Alexander album and it's a shame that a video of the whole performance can't be found anywhere. The trio is really on fire (audience reaction says it all) and the camera work is top notch transferring the viewer straight to the 1976 Montreux Festival. You did a great job syncing the audio to the precious little video there is available, thanks for sharing.
I dream of finding the entire concert...
Nothing to say except thanks and then just listen, enjoy every moment of this bit of a wonderful concert. 😀😀😀😀
Sublime.
I know this album inside out; so much fun to finally be able to see the band and their facial expressions! Thanks for the upload!
Would love to see “Work Song” as well
EXCELLENT .... Du fun pour les oreilles !
an absolute brillant performance at highest audio quality !! I guess it was recorded with NAGRA audio devices (Swiss audio manufacturer).
Thank you so much for this edition! It's an all-time favorite of mine.
Perfectly synchronized Thomas! Great to see the video!
Thank you sooooo much for sharing this. Had no clue it had been video recorded. Would you go next for 'feeling"? Thanks again, you make my day
I only found this video extract with 2 pieces of music and I synchronized with the audio CD.
But I dream of finding the full concert on video to make a complete sync and in better quality than 240p 😉
❤❤❤
Sein Nite Mist Blues ist so ein Nonplusultra wie Ray Bryants Slow Freight.
Hello, do you have any other videos of Monty Alexander at the Montreux jazz Festivao or Jazz Bern please?
No Unfortunately 😕
La version identique sur Deezer dit : Live from New-York to Tokyo Fujitsu concord.
@@merovingien-onBam Bam Bam is my second favorite jazz album off all time!!! Love Gene Harris!!! Rip
