I hope you enjoy today's outting as I now many of us are not able to get out just now. I really wanted to spend a quiet day in a beloved Antique mart I have frequented for years. Tho we couldn't see all the buildings there is a vast amount to peruse, so I hope you enjoy.
I shall come again another day so we can look in the other buildings on another fun Cape Cod outing. I hope you also enjoy my seaside view and a moment to see our dear little pet quail, Una.

The morning fog filled with floating geese and a calling loon was one of the most beautiful things I ‘ve ever experienced. And I love your soothing voice narrating the antique excursions; it’s like shopping with a friend. Can’t wait to go watch Stephanie opening and reading your Too Many Ian’s after this☺️

Wonderful! @Brenda Mcgee so sorry I missed it, but so happy she liked it. NOW I feel I can finish the pages of the sketches I sent her, to add to the cover I made for them :) I didn't like to until I knew she liked it :) Was happy they liked the sketches too, even tho I hope they know they were just the sketch ideas and not the final piece. I was so Happy to have Stephanie read out my silly words I scribbled down in September and sent off out into the world :)

A nice drive and shop around, thank you. I love Quimper, yes, church sales are terrific. Bittersweet! Blue tower Copeland Spode, I have a set of Copeland Spode Red Tower, but I appreciate the blue as well. You could make wreaths with your bittersweet, soak them like grapevines in a galvinized tub and wrap and weave around four stakes in the ground, voila bittersweet bonanza.

Hi Donna, I do love the fog, it is always lovely to view. Geese are lovely, just gliding along in your opening shots. My goodness, I hear a loon! We have lots of them in MN, but not in winter. Thanks for the shopping tour.

My my, Donna, how could the La Lande crowd not like your work? You stand out hard and shoulders above some of the stuff going down as art there. They are very good to appreciate everything, but sometimes it's what they don't say that matters. Nothing was left unsaid for your work. Oh Donna, Una has grown so much! And take my word for it, do not even think about getting metal furniture for your patio by the beach! It is a nightmare for me to take care of them year after year, even as they are stored in our storage room at the back of the beach house. The only reason I am holding on to them is that these pieces of furniture were my grandmother's and father's favorite. Stay safe 😃 and have a nice holiday season ☺

Good morning @Etholle G I did and everyone was SO kind, but we are a good bunch. I was so Happy Stephanie loved it, I wasn't really sure if she would. I'll finish the pages (that I sent as sketches with Diesel and Ruby) now and send them off to her in the coming year, now that I know she likes them.

Excellent and relaxing video, great shop and like Stephanie, I have a love of blue and white, specially Spode - I have some old pieces that will eventually find their way to Lalande. The Copeland Spode backstamp on on your Gadroon edge cup is old but I'm not sure of the year. I don't go to antique shops any more as I have to start giving things away! @Denise Marie YES loons, I love the loons plaintive call. Me too always loved blue and white and when I found Stephanies channel this year I knew I hit a great place when I saw the blue and white in the kitchen :) I suppose I should not be adding to my own piles, but I can't help it I am a Maximalist an unashamed one :) Though, I do TRY to thin out some things at least once a year to more treasured things. I hope to go to more shops in the coming year, depending on what we are allowed. Our state just released some new guidelines, so that is why I tried to get in as many as I could last month.
What a treat shopping with your thoughts narrating the trip. Can't wait to go out again and get a vintage "fix" as I refer to my addiction to old things. So living vicariously through your visits. And you have green grass? We have 24" of snow & more expected during the week. We haven't had a white Christmas in several years so we are really enjoying it, well I am. My husband has to shovel it! I am in deep decor love with that stunning statue of Poseidon in the exquisite antique shop! OMG...I am so wanting that in my home...just anywhere! I enjoyed that entire shop and my friends and I love visiting antique shops as well as thrift stores and flea markets and such. We buy for our own collections and don't resale. ...My goodness. Little and lovely Una is responding to your love and motherly attention. You will imprint upon her as parent/companion/family/ and even species. You might ought to prepare for a lifetime partnership as with any pet. ...I got swept away in your morning fog walk by the sea...the sea is literally your extended yard. Not many of us, rarely any anywhere can make that claim. ...Your videos are of the most uniquely presented videos on YT. And you do it so naturally as you and not a contrived character or show host...impressive. I am so fortunate to have literally stumbled onto your home beach and was intoxicated by crunching seashells beneath my feet and the ever changing horizons and weather and waves and atmospheres. Often times I feel that about my mountains at my old home place which I still own 23 acres of and always will. Una is really becoming my little companion, as she loves sitting on my shoulder and snuggling in my pocket and then I'll forget shes there and move and she'll make this little trill noise it's like her 'cat purr'

Hello. Came by way of recommendation from Chateau de Lalande. (I'm remembering a scene from a movie called "The Mists of Avalon." It was probably from a book as most of the good movies are).
Best to do a best price search, b/c antiques fluctuate in value (and demand), so as much as your heart may get excited, it's best not to overpay, b/c antiques don't necessarily hold their value.
Even gold loses value sometimes, but a Cape store has to deal with high rent prices, so location certainly pushes up the price, not just appraised value.

My little town in Florida has absolutely wonderful charity thrift shops with great prices. Una 🐤and her little house 🏠 are adorable. I have a precious white dove, named Noah, who is absolutely the best pet ever. Donna, I am curious to know what kind of shells or items you find at the water's edge near your house. I'm so glad you liked it @Amy Coffin and I so mudlark as our bay here empties out when we have full moon tides, as we've just had. It's fun to dig about and see what we can find. In the Summer when I snorkel out front I'll dig about as I play in the shallows for fun. I've not found anything of real value but all my shells and stones are my treasures and they have a rotating exhibit on my window ledges and book shelves ;) I was SO happy and honored that Stephanie shared my gift on Cadeaux.

You are right about the items being overpriced. In your area you can probably find many treasures and antiques in thrift stores . I am a bargain hunter.

I absolutely loved the ruby red stemware, and was gobsmacked by that tapestry towards the beginning. Very rich looking! I collect little sheep so really loved your wooly ram. So many of our antique shops have closed here in WA state, which is such a shame, as that used to be one of my favorite pastimes, to browse them with my daughter.

SHOPPERS TIP: I'm guessing you like to support local, but if something you want locally is out of your price range, you can still support individual entrepreneurs on Esty, an online store - also made up of vendors, but also craftsmen of every sort. They have vintage EVERYTHING and at a wide range of prices. I even found some museum quality reproduction items there, just looking around for future purchases. In fact, museums should be putting their wares on Etsy too. It'd be a great way to weather low attendance and to maintain small, remote museums.
Yes I LOVE ETsy and I do shop there and I also support Patreons as well as I consider them 'small business' as well. I've only so much to spread around, but I do try to do a bit here and there online too :) Thanks for the reminder tho ;)

But, I'd LOVE to set one up for a vlog maybe in the warmer weather I shall do so. I want to make a spot for a big one in the boathouse whenever I can get to doing that over. WE shall see what the coming year brings :) Do you keep fish? I've always loved it and have done so since I was about 10 or so :) I was a fish nerd for certain.

Are those birds curlew calling through the fog ? I have been looking for exactly this sound for years, but never have I had such a beautiful specimen as this, with the fog and natural sounds going on. It puts me back to sailing as a child, waking up or going to sleep hearing this sound, I love it. I could have just sat on that beach and listened and watched for an hour. You live in such as special place, to have access like that at a drop of a hat, especially one of your glorious hats 😊
No @lynne ireland that was a common loon, one of my favourite sounds to hear over the sea during the mist or fog. They have such a sad plaintive cry but it's so magical :)
It was a loon, but we do have owls here, screech and barn and hoot they make great sounds in the Summer especially they hunt the woods and the shore :)
