Love the calm and the quiet seaside. I love the antique stores and going to them whenever I a. At small towns.
I'm so happy you came along virtually :) I love sharing my quiet little life.
Enjoyed antiquing!
I like the turkey platter. Growing up, we used ours every year for Thanksgiving. It brought back such wonderful memories of my father craving the bird on it. Then several years ago it went missing. My mom couldn’t remember if it was broken, left at one of the relatives homes, or was accidentally given to a charity. This past year, I felt nostalgic that I wanted to replace it. So I did some investigating on the internet, and found similar ones on eBay. The prices were all over the place, but I decided to put several on my watch list. Anyway, just before a before I made a bid for one, I mentioned it to my mom and I mentioned what I was about to do. When she blurted out that she did an extensive purging of the house, and found the platter hidden in a cabinet. Needless to say I was very pleased. Plus, I was even happier to save on the purchase, tax, and S&H of the replacement. Especially after I found out that total cost would have been 10x more than the Woolworth original price of $7.99.
That's a wonderful story with a Happy Ending! And it's more special to have the actual one you recall your father carving on, really wonderful. I LOVE transferware and tho I use it year round, there really is something about the brown transferware patterns that just always evoke Thanksgiving!
The pattern I found that day with the pumpkin on was so dear. I'm going to keep my eyes out for that pattern and start getting a few pieces. I like to mix all the patterns IN the brown for Thanksgiving or Autumn dinner parties.
Good morning Donna,
What a wonderful delight to see your video this morning!
I lived in Sandwich for 39 years and spent my share of time and money in that lovely shop! I have so many beautiful treasures from there and I miss the ladies and gent, I believe that ran the shop.
I’m in Georgia now…a bit warmer than there! 😁
Anyway, thank you for the video and my trip down memory lane!
It's probably my favorite antique place on cape, It's always my 'go to' when I'm in the mood for a good snoop around and looking for treasures.
Gosh I bet it is a bit warmer in GA. We've been lucky with our Winter thus far, many spring like 50 F days, and lovely rain and when we get snow, just fluffy pretty snow for a few days. One never knows with a New England Winter, as I am sure you are aware.
Thanks for stopping by :)
I always enjoy our visit to the antique store with you, Donna. Thank you so much. Have a good week. 💚🙏🌷
I'm so happy you enjoyed it, it's getting to be 'antique and thrifting' season :)
Yes this was great. I imagined that shutter piece, inside a home on a triangular high ceiling wall.
Wouldnt' it be lovely @leslieiannottacronin2176
Love shopping with you Donna.
Thanks for coming along.
The Sandwich Museum is a great idea. Please use the wash basin and pitcher for flowers and keep the set together. These will certainly become more rare and won’t be made again. I use mine for washing up. Reminds me of my great grandma and the house in Germany we had with no running water in the 1800s hall (shared) bathroom! Something satisfying about using old things for their intended if outmoded purpose! Try it!
Lovely. Thanks.
Thank you too!
It gives me nice and warmth feeling. good job 😀😍
I'm so glad and thank you for stopping by.

I could almost smell the coffee 😀. Thanks for taking us along to antique store. Pretty sunny day here in southern Maryland. 61 degrees. Started taxes 🤦🏻♀️ and also worked outside some too trimming bushes. Enjoy.
Good job, after a heavy rain yesterday we had nice sunny day today so I did a tiny bit in the garden too :)

Me too I LOVE Mccoy pottery!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Another fun outing - I always love where you take us. Thank you, Donna!
Glad you enjoy it!
So glad to be on the ride to Sandwich and this antique store! The ride home through the town, seeing those New England style houses/homes, brought a lump of homesickness to my throat. The nostalgia was sweet and so sad at the same time. Thank you. Patricia
I'm so glad you could feel the nostalgia and hope my bit of New England brings joy as well.
@@DonnaDavisArt Indeed, ALL your "bits" of New England bring JOY, Donna! I even enjoyed my nostalgia and little saddness. There is warmth and treasure there, too. Patricia
Love seeing this antique shop. So many unique and beautiful things. Such a pretty day… looking forward to the next segment.
More to come!
Yay!!! Another shopping trip!❤️
I'm glad you're excited :) It's that time of year when I'm longing to thrift and antique :)

You are so welcome, thank you for coming along @irenetovar7756
Good morning Donna
Good morning :)
Thinking of you and hoping you are well.
Wow!! What a fun trip to do some antiquing! My heart lept at the site of the Blue Willow plates, of course! If there is a part 2, I'll be looking forward to it! Have a great week.
Stephen
I’ be been to the Sandwich glass museum and learned a lot.
It's a fun trip :)
Dear me was so excited, I meant to say good day to you Donna, so sorry about that 😊
Ha ha, I figured you meant good day or good morning :) I hope you are well and enjoyed my video.
That antique shop was so nice but I was pretty shocked by the price if things way wsy wsy more than in my neck if the wood's. Enjoyed it though.
Yes this place can be pricey but if you want an authentic piece well researched, it's a great spot. There are other places with better prices, but it's nice having variety. I WISH we had the prices for things one finds in France...those are bargains.
Yay I found you again!
yes I started back slowly first of the year and taking it slow to really enjoy being back, glad you found me again @lindawilson8434
Goodbye to you Donna, I'm so exited, just going to watch your video 😊. Xso pleased
Hope you like it!
It's been awhile since I was here Donna. I'm trying not to die these days. I forgot how peaceful it is. I'm going to go back a bit, I'm curious as to your cabin you were working on when I got sick.
Gosh I hope you get better. My cottage, which I'm doing some work on lately, is always a work in progress. Our Handyman just rebuilt the outdoor shower and the bulkhead to the cellar and some trim work. I've got interior painting and such to do so will most likely share it on the vlogs as I can.
Feel better!
Antique store was fun. I think you should move slower when filming so the eye can take it all in and not get dizzy!
I agree and duly noted, slower as we go forward :) thank you for watching.
Gone @ 4:02.....just too fast
sorry if you go into the video a bit further you'd see I slow down. :)
To fast could enjoy it! ☹️
Sorry, part 2 is out right now if you want to see if I did a better job slowing down :) would love your opinion, always trying to get better.
Could you please move slower?
Normally I do, I realized at beginning i was too fast but if you go into the video a bit you'll see I slowed down haha.
G'day from Australia. You videos are such a lovely treat. XO🥀
g'day :) Thank you so happy you enjoy them.
